Privacy NoticeThe Prince of Wales seems to have closed the door on any potential reconciliation with his younger sibling, Prince Harry, according to an insight by a leading a royal expert. During an interview with GBNews America, former BBC royal correspondent Michael Cole didn’t mince his words when he claimed that Prince William was “adamant” about keeping Prince Harry out of the royal circle. Michael’s comments cut deep into the heart of the brothers’ strained relationship, suggesting that a reunion is not on the cards. He emphasised that there would be no “softening” in William’s stance towards Harry’s actions, which he described as “unthinkable.”

He explained: “There’s going to be no softening of the adamantine response to what he’s done. He’s done the unthinkable. In this life, most men can put up with insults, it happens. You get insulted. I’ve been insulted by experts over the years and men can put up with that. What they cannot put up with are two things which they cannot abide with. Their driving ability, and they certainly cannot allow their wife to be criticised. “Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, have made no secret of their disdain for Princess Kate. Even when her cancer was diagnosed and she announced it herself. The message they sent was sort of a mealy-mouthed thing.”

Following the announcement of Kate’s illness, Harry and Meghan’s message to her was shared with the public. It read: “We wish health and healing for Kate and the family and hope they can do so privately and in peace.” It’s been said that the Sussexes found out about Kate’s condition at the same time as the rest of us. The last public appearance of the two couples together was at Queen Elizabeth’s funeral, where they greeted those who had gathered outside Windsor Castle. Since stepping back from royal duties, Harry and Meghan haven’t held back in expressing their feelings about William and Kate. In a Netflix documentary last year, Harry even partially blamed his brother and sister-in-law for his decision to wear a Nazi costume to a party in 2005, an incident he described as “one of the biggest mistakes of my life”.

Adding fuel to the fire, in his memoir Spare, Prince Harry gave his account of Meghan’s relationship with Kate, revealing private details about a disagreement between the two. He claimed that Kate ‘grimaced’ when Meghan borrowed her lipgloss and that the two women fell out after Meghan suggested that Kate had “baby brain” following the birth of Prince Louis. Michael went on to praise Prince William for his leadership qualities, saying the future King has a “strong command” over royal affairs. He highlighted William’s assertiveness, noting: “He’s showing a strong command of things, and a willingness to speak frankly about things he likes and doesn’t like.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
