Privacy NoticeThe Prince and Princess of Wales released an emotionally charged video ahead of their much-anticipated appearance at this year’s Trooping the Colour parade – the first major royal outing for Kate Middleton since she announced her cancer diagnosis. The footage, which they shared on their official social media accounts, captured a sweet interaction between Princess Kate and her little girl, Princess Charlotte. In the video, we see the caring Princess of Wales lovingly adjusting Charlotte’s hair, making sure she looks picture-perfect for the big event. “All set for The King’s Birthday,” the caption announced, signalling Princess Kate’s inspiring return to the spotlight amidst her brave battle with cancer as she joined the Royal family in honouring the King’s official birthday.

Kate, who asked to change her name by Queen Camilla and King Charles, alongside her children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, received a warm reception from the crowd gathered along The Mall as they made their way out of Buckingham Palace in the ceremonial carriage procession. The 42-year-old Royal was spotted waving to the enthusiastic onlookers, with Charlotte and Louis by her side, during their carriage ride. Despite facing a challenging year with her health and ongoing chemotherapy treatments, the future queen appeared serene as she joined her family in the historic glass coach.

This was the first time Kate made an appearance amid her cancer battle

She was in good company, surrounded by Royal relatives, while her husband, the Prince of Wales, took his place on horseback as Colonel of the Welsh Guards, alongside the Princess Royal, Colonel Blues and Royals, and the Duke of Edinburgh, Colonel Scots Guards. The Princess of Wales was seen sharing a light-hearted moment with her children in the carriage before their arrival at Horse Guards Parade in Whitehall. In the past, Kate would join the senior family members on a dais, but this year she took in the spectacle from the Duke of Wellington’s former office.

Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond recently reflected on how the last few months have been a test of Kate and William’s strong partnership and how the recent tribute to the doting dad said a lot about their relationship. “The last few months have been a test of their strong partnership,” Jennie exclusively told OK! “I think this photograph tells us that they are still able to jump for joy, even in the toughest of times, and that Kate has deliberately chosen a picture that speaks of their optimism for the future. “She adores William – he is her rock and has supported her so selflessly through all of this and has taken flak from members of the public for not doing more and for devoting himself to her. So she adores her man. I think their marriage is stronger than ever.” Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
