Privacy Notice Meghan Markle is celebrating her 43rd birthday today (4 August), and for the occasion is expected to be gifted a ‘sentimental’ and ‘expensive’ gift from her husband Prince Harry. The Duke of Sussex is thoughtful when it comes to birthday gifts for his adored wife and in the past has presented Meghan with a £75K ring that was once his late mother’s, Princess Diana’s. When it comes to royal birthdays, it’s no surprise that there may be some rather lavish gifts on the day, especially when it comes from your husband. Speaking about what Meghan can expect to unwrap this year, a royal expert told Fabulous: “Prince Harry’s quite sentimental and he’s very anxious to keep Meghan happy.”

Editor-in-Chief of Majesty Magazine Ingrid Seward continued and said that in the past Harry has gifted her “a lot of jewellery, mostly from his late mother.” This includes a magnificent Cartier watch, Diana’s tennis bracelet and some of her gorgeous earrings. One of the most expensive gifts from Harry includes a £75,000 aquamarine ring, which was his late mother’s who passed away in 1997. Meghan wore the stunning ring, made up of an emerald-cut aquamarine with diamond accents, for the evening reception of her wedding to Harry. Speaking of this year’s birthday gift, Ingrid told the publisher: “I suspect Harry might veer off jewellery and maybe give her a painting or something this time, he’s given her paintings before. “I’m sure it’ll be something that you know she’s going to be able to either wear or have in the house.”

Ingrid predicted that Archie might give his mum a friendship bracelet, to mark their close bond, while Lilibet could present Meghan with a family drawing, something that the parents “absolutely love”. OK! has reached out to Prince William and Meghan Markle for comment. When it comes to gifts from Prince William and Kate Middleton, amid the ongoing family rift, the royal expert said Meghan will most likely receive a card or message, but a present is unlikely to be sent across the pond to California from the UK. Ingrid also noted that this isn’t a milestone birthday for Meghan, with bigger celebrations expected to take place when Harry turns 40 on 15 September.

Speaking of how Meghan will be feeling on her special day, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond exclusively told OK! “I think Meghan will be a happy bunny as she reaches her 43rd birthday. “She has managed to have two children in quick succession, she has a prince for a husband, a royal title without having the bother of a royal life, a mansion for a home, a life in sunny California and a stratospheric level of fame. What is there to grumble about?”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
