Privacy NoticePrince Harry has been accused of throwing a “hissy fit” over his security in the UK to make his father King Charles “look bad”. Last week, the Sussexes revealed plans for an unconventional Royal tour to Colombia a country known for its significant security challenges, hot on the heels of their trip to high-risk Nigeria. Despite Harry’s vocal concerns about bringing Meghan and the kids back to Britain without armed police protection, he seems ready to brave the purported dangers of Colombia, raising eyebrows. Speaking on Talk, Royal commentator, Kinsey Schofield suggested that Harry’s insistence on police protection in the UK might be more about making a statement against his father, King Charles, than genuine safety concerns, reports the Express. She said: “I think just this is further proof that this is all a hissy fit that Prince Harry is pitching because he wants to make his father look like the bad guy.”

After tying the knot in 2018, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that they were to step down as senior royals in January 2020 and they moved to California in June 2020. Since then, the pair have been residing in Montecito and they live there with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet Recently, Prince Harry, 39, was reported to be looking at properties in England, though he and Meghan have allegedly put their UK house hunt on hold temporarily until their security issues have been ironed out with the Home Office. “Harry really does want to spend more time in the UK but doesn’t feel comfortable doing that until the security issues have been ironed out,” a source told express.co.uk.

“He and Meghan planned on looking for a part-time home near Windsor this year and hoped that the appeals process would be heard before the end of July so that they could properly start their search. However, the court process seems to be taking its time.” In 2020, Prince Harry took legal action against the Home Office over a decision that he should receive a different degree of taxpayer-funded protection after he and Meghan stepped down as senior royals. But despite the High Court in February deeming the decision lawful and later denying Harry’s request to appeal in April, the Court of Appeal agreed in June that it would hear his case following a direct plea from his lawyers.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
