Privacy NoticePrince Harry’s ex, Cressida Bonas, is mourning the loss of her sister Pandora Cooper-Kay. Pandora bravely fought cancer for 24 years before her battle came to an end on 22 July, years after being diagnosed with an “inoperable brain tumour”. A death notice read: “Beloved daughter of the late Edmond Cooper-Key, and Lady Mary Gaye Curzon, adored mother of Bow and Nestor, so much-loved sister of her two brothers and eight sisters and devoted aunt to her nieces and nephews.” Pandora courageously opened up about her journey, sharing the emotionally charged details of how her family had prepared for her passing numerous times throughout her long struggle with the disease. In a previous reflection on her health battles and privileged upbringing, Pandora thoughtfully pondered: “I wondered if it was because my parents were so rich. Maybe I got the money but not the life,” reports the Mirror.

Pandora, the former protege of fashion legend Vivienne Westwood, tragically passed away after a valiant health battle. Diagnosed with a brain tumour last year, she underwent immunotherapy treatment and faced immense challenges, including depression due to the pain and uncertainty of her recovery. Opening up to MailOnline, Pandora shared her struggles: “I probably have been the closest to feeling depressed than I’ve ever been and I’m not a depressive person. That’s been quite scary. There have been days where I’ve been like ‘I can’t bear the pain’. But then there’s something in me that bounces back.”

In a candid chat with Femail, she had previously expressed hope in her treatment: “They said that chemotherapy won’t help me, but immunotherapy might really work. So I’ve done two doses. There are a few side effects, but it’s hard for me to really know what they are because I’ve got so many other things going on. I’m in intense pain if I don’t take a lot of very strong painkillers.” Before her untimely death, Pandora courageously fought sarcoma, Paget’s disease, and tumours in her nose and cheek. Cressida and Prince Harry were in a relationship between 2012 and 2014 – it’s thought they were introduced by Princess Eugenie. After their spilt, she Cressida went on to find love with an estate agent, Harry Wentworth-Stanley, whom she later married.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
