Privacy NoticeKing Charles has allegedly given Prince Harry a “substantial sum” following the controversy surrounding the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s explosive Netflix documentary, according to Royal author Robert Jobson. The royal author has a new biography titled Catherine, The Princess Of Wales: The Biography, which claims to tell the ‘full story’ of how Kate Middleton became the ‘woman she is today’, and features many claims about the inner workings of the royal family. In this new release, Robert suggests that Harry and Meghan’s most profitable days “seem to be behind them” after their shocking docuseries and Harry’s 2023 memoir, Spare.

The author claimed: “Harry, however, later claimed that his father told him there was ‘not enough money to go around’ for Meghan, because he was already having to pay for William and Catherine. Harry was furious, feeling that he and Meghan were entitled to lavish handouts from ‘Pa’ in return for agreeing to serve the Crown.”, reports the Express. “In fact, according to close sources, Charles ended up giving Harry a ‘substantial sum’ and did not cut him off financially.” The new book features a number of claims, including one that Prince William reportedly “sought assurances” that Meghan Markle wouldn’t be wearing any of Princess Diana’s jewellery for her wedding to Prince Harry, amid concerns about their relationship.

Rumours have been swirling for some time that William was eager for his brother, Prince Harry, to take things slow when he first started seeing former Suits actress Meghan in 2016. In his own contentious memoir, Spare Harry, he recalls significant tension with his brother during the planning of his wedding. And now, in the new release, author Robert alleges that the relationship between the two brothers deteriorated further before the 2018 wedding – with William seeking reassurances from their grandmother, the Queen, that Harry’s bride-to-be would not wear their late mother’s jewellery – despite his wife Kate possessing Diana’s stunning sapphire engagement ring. As serialised in The Mail on Sunday, the book details how tensions escalated among the royals as Harry and Meghan’s wedding approached. As Harry himself recounted in his book Spare, Meghan and Kate had an uncomfortable encounter over lip gloss several months before the wedding, and things reached a boiling point between the two women over bridesmaid dresses.
Claims about Harry and Meghan’s wedding day are also in the book

The book reads: “By the time William was confirmed as best man, the relationship had worsened. I have been told that still concerned about the match, he’d sought assurances from the Queen that Harry’s bride would not be wearing any of Princess Diana’s jewellery, even though his own wife was allowed to wear it. Despite sharp digs and thin skins on both sides, the wedding at Windsor in May 2018 was a spectacular success. In public, the Royal Family were all smiles, though privately they were at daggers drawn.” Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
