Privacy Notice Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made a huge decision about their return to the UK, according to reports. After tying the knot in 2018, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that they were to step down as senior royals in January 2020 and they moved to California in June 2020. Since then, the pair have been residing in Montecito and they live there with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. However, despite living in the US, Prince Harry, 39, was reported to be looking at properties in England, though he and Meghan have allegedly put their UK house hunt on hold temporarily until their security issues have been ironed out with the Home Office.

“Harry really does want to spend more time in the UK but doesn’t feel comfortable doing that until the security issues have been ironed out,” a source told express.co.uk. “He and Meghan planned on looking for a part-time home near Windsor this year and hoped that the appeals process would be heard before the end of July so that they could properly start their search. However, the court process seems to be taking its time.” OK! has contacted representatives for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for comment.

In 2020, Prince Harry took legal action against the Home Office over a decision that he should receive a different degree of taxpayer-funded protection after he and Meghan stepped down as senior royals. But despite the High Court in February deeming the decision lawful and later denying Harry’s request to appeal in April, the Court of Appeal agreed in June that it would hear his case following a direct plea from his lawyers. The reports come after a source claimed to OK! that the Duke of Sussex was beginning to yearn for a closer relationship with his niece and nephews in the UK.

“Whatever Harry feels about his brother and his dad, he always feels guilty that he doesn’t have a relationship with his niece and nephews and that Archie and Lili don’t know their only cousins,” they claimed. “Harry always had visions of them growing up around him and being able to come and ask him for advice that they couldn’t ask their parents, especially Charlotte and Louis.” The source added: “George is on a different path, and Harry doesn’t know what that feels like – but he is well aware of what it’s like to be the ‘spare’ and not have the same purpose. He sees a lot of himself in little Louis and it breaks his heart that he doesn’t really know them.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
