Privacy NoticePalace insiders have reportedly described Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as being difficult to assist, claiming they make everything “exhaustingly difficult”. Allegedly, sources told the Daily Mail that while the Palace mishandled the ‘Sussex situation’, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who resigned from their senior Royal roles and relocated to California in 2020, are prone to seeing conspiracy “at every turn”, complicating efforts to support them. A source who is alleged to have experienced the crisis remarked that Harry “wasn’t happy” and it was evident, suggesting that his departure from the UK was the right move for the Sussexes. The source mentioned that Harry “needed to make a break” from what was termed “a horrible, toxic atmosphere”, a decision he has openly discussed in various TV interviews, their Netflix series, and his book, Spare’ These revelations come just before Harry’s 40th birthday.

The Duke is expected to mark this significant birthday at his Montecito home with Meghan and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, followed by gatherings with close friends. However, it is anticipated that no Royal Family members will attend. A source speaking to the Mail highlighted that Harry’s bond with his brother, Prince William, is “non-existent”, with the Prince of Wales feeling “feels betrayed” and focusing on other priorities, reports the Mirror. Another source has called the princes’ bond “a complicated beast” but hasn’t given up hope for a resolution, saying: “I’d still like to think they might talk, one day. But there’s a long road ahead and we certainly aren’t any closer to that today.” This news emerges alongside rumours that Prince Harry has engaged a new UK press representative to enhance his public image. Despite facing some unfavourable headlines in the British media, the Duke of Sussex can find comfort in the fact that stateside, he is seen more favourably than his father.

According to a YouGov survey commissioned by The Times, 49% of Americans view Prince Harry positively, while only 38% feel the same about King Charles. Nonetheless, Prince Harry isn’t winning the popularity contest at home, with Prince William outpacing him; a noteworthy 54% of American respondents hold the future king in high esteem. Meghan Markle, Harry’s partner, is slightly less popular than King Charles, with the poll indicating 36% of U. S. adults have a positive perception of her. At the very bottom of the Royal approval scale sits Queen Camilla, who only managed to win the hearts of 25% of those surveyed, with a further 31% viewing her negatively. Back home in the UK, Harry didn’t score as highly in a similar survey, with just 26 per cent of those polled having a positive opinion of him. In contrast, King Charles was much more popular, earning the approval of roughly 63 per cent of the random sample. Camilla also has a higher popularity rating in the UK than across the pond, with 49 per cent of British respondents expressing a favourable view of her.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
