Privacy NoticeWhile being a senior member of the Royal Family is a job in itself, many members of the famous family boast impressive careers of their own. Prince William, 42, served in the Royal Air Force before going on to work as a pilot for East Anglian Air Ambulance, while his wife Kate, also 42, worked part-time at high-street retailer Jigsaw after graduating from university. Prince Harry, 40, served in the army for 10 years, while Queen Camilla previously worked as a receptionist and secretary. Younger members of the Royal Family are also reportedly thinking about their future careers, with Prince George, 11, and nine year old Princess Charlotte both expressing interest in ‘ordinary’ jobs, according to My London.

The Prince and Princess of Wales’ eldest son will one day become king, but it appears he has other career dreams in the meantime. Prince William previously revealed that George is “fascinated” with police while attending a reception at Kensington Palace in 2018. While at the event, police commissioner Jayne Richardson explained to William how more officers were needed in the area, before jokingly adding: “We are recruiting, actually, so if George and Charlotte are keen?” The dad-of-three then responded: “George is obsessed, actually, by the police… cars, toys, everything.” Prince William has also opened up about George’s fascination with police in the past. During a trip to the Finnish capital Helsinki in 2017, he gave Santa Claus a letter penned by his son.

George had just one present on his Christmas list, which was a police car. Prince William said at the time: “I’ve seen you and I had to give you this letter. He hasn’t written down many requests, so I think one request is probably okay.” Meanwhile, George’s younger sister Princess Charlotte has reportedly expressed interest in becoming a nurse, after her father explained to her and her two brothers about all of the work NHS staff do. According to New Idea, Palace insiders explained how Charlotte had told her parents that she hoped to become a nurse in the future. The insider said: “She’s obviously just a little kid but still, Will and Kate swelled with pride. She’s such a caring little girl who also knows what she wants, so they wouldn’t be surprised if she does take on nursing as one of her big causes when she’s older.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
