Privacy NoticePiers Morgan has slammed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, calling them “spoilt brats” for releasing news about their new show shortly after an update on Kate’s health was made public. In his latest Uncensored column, the former Good Morning Britain presenter remarked: “The gap was only 100 minutes, but it might as well have been 100 light years.” He pointed out that Princess Kate shared a heartfelt video discussing her cancer journey at 4.29pm on Monday, while Netflix dropped a teaser for the Sussexes’ upcoming Polo documentary series at 6.09pm the same day. Piers, 59, added: “Of course, it may just have been a stupendous coincidence but if you believe that, then I’ve got some very dodgy old Ford Cortinas to sell you.” He highlighted the stark contrast between the two royal couples, stating: “One thing is indisputable, and it’s that the separate announcements perfectly encapsulated the very different lives of these two couples now,” reports the Express.

He lavished praise on Kate and William when comparing the duos, saying: “One, featuring the heir to the throne and his health-stricken wife, was an extraordinarily moving, humble, and profoundly inspiring insight into what it’s like to have a life-threatening illness when you have a loving young family, regardless of wealth or status.” Contrastingly, his review of Meghan and Harry was scathing, as he continued his writing: “The other, featuring two spoiled brat renegades who ditched royal duty and service for a life of self-enriching Hollywood glitz and glamour, was a nauseatingly ill-timed self-promotional plug for a series about a sport so elite only millionaires can play it.” “Regardless of whether Meghan and Harry deliberately rushed out their promo to try to spoil Kate and William’s big announcement, or just to capitalise on the megaton-sized global attention it instantly received, it landed like a plop of unwanted pigeon poop on a pavement.” It comes as Kate shared intimate footage of her family yesterday evening, featuring her husband Prince William and their children – George, Charlotte and Louis. In the emotional three-minute clip, Kate bravely confirmed that she has “finally completed” her preventative chemotherapy treatment after a gruelling nine-months.

The Princess of Wales said it was a “relief” to have come to the end of her cancer journey as her voice could be heard talking about her continued road to recovery, and “remaining cancer free”. In the emotional update, Kate appeared to be looking to the future, as she said: “I am however looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can. Despite all that has gone before, I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life.” In a heartfelt statement, the Duchess shared: “William and I are so grateful for the support we have received and have drawn great strength from all those who are helping us at this time. Everyone’s kindness, empathy and compassion has been truly humbling.” “To all those who are continuing their own cancer journey I remain with you, side by side, hand in hand. Out of darkness, can come light, so let that light shine bright.”Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
