Peter Andre has opened up about his fears for the online safety of his kids, his concerns around raising teens in today’s digital world – sparked by the buzz surrounding the hard-hitting Netflix drama Adolescence, which has even been brought up in parliament. In his exclusive column for OK!, the dad-of-five also sets the record straight on reports about his daughter Princess landing her own reality show, shares how his family plans to celebrate Mother’s Day amid a difficult time for his own mum, and praises this year’s inspiring Comic Relief event – and whether he might taking on a gruelling fitness challenge of his own… Keep kids safe

I may be the only person on the planet who hasn’t seen Adolescence. Yet, I hear the acting is phenomenal and people want it to be shown in parliament to educate. I agree – online safety is such an important and relatable topic for every parent. It’s difficult to strike a balance between independence and safety, and we need the government to put in safety measures. I’ve seen it first hand – having teenagers. We need better safety measures that apply to everyone. Happy Mother’s Day

Peter says his mum is the most special person in the world

Mother’s Day is coming up and I have a lot of mixed feelings because my own mother is going through so much at the moment, so it’s tough. She’s the most special person in the world so I also think of the positives, about the fact that I’ve still got her. My wife is a wonderful mum, and it makes me realise that there are different ways of celebrating Mother’s Day. The kids always plan something nice and we’re going to do something fun. I’ll make sure Belle’s handwriting is up to scratch, so she can write a letter all by herself! Protecting Princess

There have been reports that Pete’s daughter Princess is set to star in her own reality show – although Pete says that isn’t strictly true, but teases that something else in the works instead

I know there are reports about my daughter Princess getting her own TV show, which isn’t strictly true. I’m not allowed to say too much, but I will say there is something we’ve been working on with my management team. And because we have the same team, it means I’m always able to make sure she’s making the best decisions and is protected and safe, which is important to me as her dad. She’s such a smart young woman and she has so much potential – I’m really proud of her. Running on empty

I watched Comic Relief on TV this year and what a fantastic event it continues to be. Jamie Laing did his 150-mile run – five ultra marathons in five days – which was pretty insane.I think I’d be lucky to run a 150-metre challenge! It’s good to challenge yourself, but some of them are just insane, and I don’t think our bodies always react well. I thought about doing an Iron Man in my thirties and I’m 52 now, but I’d still like to do something like that one day.
