Create wow factor ‘picky bits’ from your charcuterie spread

Ingredients 3 bananas 500g frozen strawberries A splash of almond milk For the topping Almond flakes chia seeds Frozen raspberries Frozen blueberries Dark chocolate, shaved Fresh mint leaves Method Blitz the bananas and strawberries in a high-speed blender. Add a splash of almond milk to loosen the mixture to your consistency preference. Pour into bowls. Presentation is key. Scatter almond flakes along the side of the bowl, followed by a line of chia seeds, and then go for it with your frozen berries. Finish with mint leaves and a shaving of dark chocolate. Serve immediately. Tip: Swap almonds for any nut you like. And add kiwi to the topping for an additional fruit hit. Blueberry and chia Serves 2

Ingredients 2 frozen bananas 500g blueberries 4 tsp chia seeds For the topping Granola Raspberries Blueberries Blackberries Method Ensure your bananas are frozen before starting. This will create a thicker consistency. Using fresh fruit will result in a thinner smoothie and your toppings will sink. Add your bananas and blueberries to a blender and blitz. Carefully scatter in the chia seeds and mix. These will help thicken your smoothie further and add magnesium and calcium boosts. Pour immediately into bowls and get to work on the decoration. Scatter over as much granola as you fancy, and decorate by placing the fruit of your choice – we like raspberries, blueberries and blackberries – across the top. Eat quickly – this will melt just like ice cream! Tip: You can boost your protein intake by adding a scoop of vanilla protein powder. Mixed berry and oat Serves 2

Ingredients 300g blueberries 300g blackberries 300g blackcurrants (optional) A splash of cashew milk 75g oats For the topping Blueberries Oats Chia seeds Honey (optional) Method Blitz your trio of purple berries in a high-speed blender, adding in a splash of cashew milk to loosen if needed. Carefully scatter in your oats and give the mixture another quick blitz to thicken. The oats add a biscuit-like flavouring. Pour into bowls and decorate liberally with the blueberries, extra oats and chia seeds. Drizzle honey, if using, across the entire bowl – and devour!
