As the awards season draws to a close, one celeb who’s been turning heads on the red carpets is none other than Pamela Anderson. The 57 year old actress has been making waves for her decision to ditch makeup regardless of the event’s magnitude, choosing instead to celebrate her natural beauty and ageing process. Inspired by the Baywatch star’s bold move, This Morning’s beauty guru Nadine Baggott revealed some of her top products that’ll give you the confidence to go makeup-free. One of her favourites is E.l. f’s Poreless Putty Primer, which you can pick up for an affordable £10. Suitable for all skin types, including oily, dry, and combination, this primer boasts a velvety texture that applies seamlessly without pilling or patchiness. It smooths over any imperfections or textures and minimises the appearance of pores, giving your complexion a ‘your skin but better’ look. Although available in a balm formula, Nadine suggests the newer liquid version, which blends more easily and offers a silky, lightweight finish. Plus, it’s enriched with squalene, hydrating, softening, and smoothing your skin with every use. While the E. l.f website itself doesn’t have reviews for their primer just yet, over at Boots – where it’s also up for grabs – it’s garnered a glowing 4.6-star rating. One shopper raved: “My skin feels 10x better once putting this on. My makeup always looks smooth and flawless with this primer,” while another chimed in with: “Literally my favorite makeup primer it doesn’t leave my face feeling cakey and it’s great for dry skin!!!”

A third fan shared: “This is my favorite primer to use from ELF that I have used so far. It has a great texture, and is nice to put on. I saw some other reviews say that they [use] just this, sans foundation, and I am going to try this!! The other primers I have used are the sticky pink, and the new as of 2025 black bottle primer that comes out clear.” However, not all feedback was entirely positive; one user pointed out: “It blurs my pores but only very slightly, not as much as I would’ve liked. There’s nothing wrong with it though it feels nice and doesn’t clog my pores.” Some also noted it left a subtle white cast on their skin, which wasn’t to their liking. For those after a completely clear option, Beauty Bay’s Pore Perfect Blurring Primer might be the answer at £12. It promises a shine-free, flawless base, soft focus effect, and luminous matte finish, along with a cooling sensation ideal for sensitive skin. Plus, it’s designed to camouflage pores, fine lines, and imperfections, making it a versatile pick either alone or under makeup. Another cult favourite primer that shares a similar texture and finish to the E. l.f one is Benefit’s The POREfessional Face Primer. It’s a bit more on the expensive side at £32 for a 22ml tube, but it has received glowing reviews from shoppers for its smoothing and blurring effect, reports the Mirror.
