Privacy NoticeGogglebox favourites Dave and Shirley Griffiths have shared a rare snap of their daughter who doesn’t appear on the hit Channel 4 show.The much-loved couple, who rose to fame after first starring on our screens in 2015, posted the glam picture of daughter Gemma on Instagram. Wearing a green dress and matching hat, she was seen smiling alongside a pal. The caption read: “Have a lovely day, our daughter Gemma and her friend don’t get to drunk,” with three laughing emojis. Fans rushed to the comment section to say how stunning their daughter was, with many complimenting her bright red hair.

“Love her hair. She has her Dad’s Smile,” one said, while another commented: “She’s gorgeous just like her mumma.” A third added: “I have teeth envy, your daughter has a great smile,” and someone else said: “I love her hair!” Dave and Shirley, who are both in their 60s, have two children, Simon, 45, and Gemma 37, as well as a pet bulldog called Blue. Married for more than 40 years, the couple are based in Caerphilly, Wales. Away from the Bafta award-winning TV show, they also have other jobs. Shirley works in a charity shop, while Daves works as a cleaner in a factory.

They have confirmed that they’ll be appearing in the upcoming 24th series of Gogglebox, which is set to air later this year. While they tend to keep their family life private, rarely posting pictures of their children, the couple also recently stunned fans when they shared a pic of their son Simon. Back in May, the proud parents uploaded two videos of Simon taking part in the Newport Marathon. The first showed him at the starting line as he runs past his family and fellow supporters. Dave can be heard cheering him on, shouting “Go on Si!”

Dave and Shirley wrote alongside: “Our son Simon running in the Newport marathon, go son,” before pointing out that he’s wearing a black outfit and baseball cap in case viewers couldn’t identify him. The couple then added that he had “26 miles in front of him,” at the time the video was filmed, ending the sweet caption with: “Good luck.” The second video showed him at the end of the marathon as he crossed the finish line. “Well done son,” Dave and Shirley wrote, revealing that Simon completed the tough marathon in 3 hours and 46 minutes. “Massively proud, get in there xxx,” they added.Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
