Privacy Notice Miranda Hart surprised her fans earlier this week with the news that she had got married, and on Thursday 10 October, she gave a little glimpse into her wedded bliss as she shared a new video thanking her fans. The 51 year old comic actress first announced her marriage when she was on The One Show earlier this week promoting her new book, I Haven’t Been Entirely Honest With You, and she has also been speaking out about living with chronic illness. In the new video, Miranda spoke about her illness and the treatments she has tried, while making it very clear to her fans that she was not recommending any particular medicines and only talking about the ones that have worked for her, which may not work for others. With the noise of clattering cutlery and plates in the background, she said: “Hello, it’s me again, I’m popping up willy nilly. I just wanted to say thank you for all the support on publication day and again to those of you who are fellow chronic illness sufferers, please know that I don’t profess to know the answers.”

She continued: “I’m not a medic, I just share what I learnt for all of us, not just chronic illness sufferers, what I researched and learned for holistic health. It’s all the things that reduce the stress in my life – that doesn’t mean I am saying that they cure medical conditions that I know nothing about, so I just want to make that really, really clear.” “I understand the pain of the misunderstanding, of the getting no answers, of the not having a cure. My story is I just found things that helped me living with the illness. It happened to improve my physiology. It might for some, it may not for others. I just want to say I am on your side and love you very much.” Sign up to OK!’s TV newsletter to get updates sent to your inbox for free

She then paused and referred to the background noise that had been getting louder as she was speaking: “And that’s my husband making me a scrambled egg – showbiz exclusive!” Miranda hasn’t shared much information about her new husband, aside from the fact that she met him when he came to her house as a surveyor to look at the mould in her property. On Tuesday, she did post an Instagram clip which featured her high-fiving him with only his hand visible, and she commented: “I’ve got my best friend to do life with and it’s wonderful. And I’m also utterly thrilled to be back in tele land and having a book out. Um so yeah, thanks so much for all your support.” She signed off by saying: “High-five husband. Ho ho. Exclusive, his hand. Bye!” Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
