Privacy NoticeAccording to a royal author, Meghan Markle left the Princess of Wales feeling “very upset” after criticising one of her members of staff at Kensington Palace. The incident, which was likely the ‘start of the end’ of their relationship, involved Meghan bursting into a “foot-stamping” rant according to Tom Quinn. Tom told the Daily Star: “Meghan and Harry were living in what’s called Nottingham Cottage and it’s probably the only bit that you genuinely really could say, is actually quite small. “And so I think that reminded Meghan that she was, as it were, second place or as the runner-up.”

Speaking of the incident, he added: “Famously Meghan slightly lost her temper with a member of Kate’s staff in front of Kate. And it was that incident, that I was told by someone who was actually there, who said it was really uncomfortable because Meghan just lost it with this person.” Tom went on to add that the whole environment was “alien” to Meghan and revealed that the moment in question was described to him as having “raised voices” and “foot-stamping”. Not wanting to expose his source, Tom wrote about the person without naming them. Apparently, the member of staff couldn’t do something for Meghan because they worked for Kate. Tom said Kate was “horrified” and thought Meghan’s behaviour was “unacceptable”.

There are also fresh rumours about the rift between Prince William and Prince Harry with a popular photograph being pointed to as the moment of strain between the brothers. Royal correspondent for the Daily Mail, Richard Eden, has suggested that signs of discord in the relationship between William and his wife Kate, and Harry and Meghan, could be traced back to November 2018 – two years before Meghan and Harry’s exit from their Royal roles and relocation to America. A picture captured after a WW1 armistice centenary service at Westminster Abbey in that year has been singled out by Richard, who noted the apparently “tense” expressions on William and Kate’s faces. Richard observed the couple’s tight jaws in the image, interpreting this as indicative of a “lack of warmth” towards Harry and Meghan.

On the Reading The Royals YouTube series associated with the publication, Richard explained that the photograph of them leaving Westminster Abbey was during the service to mark Armistice Day so they would always look “sombre”. But Richard claims there was still a lot going on “behind-the-scenes” and was a sign of discord in their relationship.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
