Privacy NoticePrince Harry and Meghan Markle’s recent solo appearances have sent tongues wagging. In the past few weeks, Harry has been spotted in New York, London, and South Africa, away from Meghan and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Meanwhile, Meghan has kept a low profile, although she did make an appearance at a star-studded gala for the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles over the weekend, stunning in a vibrant red gown. She also made a solo visit to a girls’ leadership organisation to celebrate International Day of the Girl, noticeably without her engagement ring. This comes just two years after Meghan famously said that she and Harry were like “salt and pepper” because they always “move together”. However, since their tour of Colombia in August, this hasn’t seemed to be the case, leading many to speculate why, reports the Mirror.

Despite Meghan’s recent absence from Harry’s public outings, a friend insists it doesn’t indicate a split. They told People magazine: “[It’s] as much a reflection on parenting priorities, in that one of them stays behind with the children.” A source close to Prince Harry and Meghan has revealed to People magazine that the couple is embracing a “twin-track approach” in their professional lives. They said: “It’s clear that a twin-track approach is evolving.” Sign up to OK!’s royal newsletter to get updates sent to your inbox for free

Meanwhile, another friend of the couple shared insights into their individual focuses. “The Duke and Duchess have now hit their stride as individuals – not just as a couple. The Duke appears focused on his patronage work, and the Duchess focused on her entrepreneurial track,” they said. “An entrepreneurial and enterprise focus is going to be more the Duchess’s priority and the Duke will continue to champion his not-for-profit patronages. But there will be joint efforts around those cause-driven areas of work.” During Meghan’s recent solo visit to Girls Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara, she engaged with young girls in activities such as drawing and crafts. For this outing, Meghan chose a stylish ensemble consisting of white wide-legged trousers and a blue Ralph Lauren shirt, accessorising with a necklace and a stack of bracelets. Notably absent was her iconic engagement ring, although she was still wearing her wedding band.

Prince Harry proposed to Meghan with a bespoke engagement ring at Kensington Palace in 2017, featuring diamonds from Princess Diana’s personal collection and a central stone from Botswana, all set on a classic gold band. In their engagement interview, Harry shared the sentimental value of the ring: “The ring is – is obviously yellow gold because that’s what – her favourite and the main stone itself I sourced from Botswana and the – the little diamonds either side are from my mother’s jewellery collection to make sure that she’s with us on this – on this crazy journey together.” Yet, by Trooping the Colour in 2019, Meghan’s ring had undergone a transformation, now presented on a delicate micropave band, complemented by another eye-catching piece. Despite being spotted without the ring at events like the Invictus Games in Dusseldorf last year, a source told Page Six it was simply “being fixed”. True enough, the iconic ring made its return to Meghan’s finger earlier this year during a trip to Jamaica for the premiere of the Bob Marley biopic, “Bob Marley: One Love”, honouring the legendary musician’s legacy.Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
