Privacy Notice Prince Harry is set to celebrate his 40th birthday this Sunday, and it seems that his wife Meghan Markle has some big plans in store for the Duke’s milestone celebration. In addition to a grand 40th birthday party, expected to take place in California over the weekend with their two children and friends in attendance, Harry is also slated for a special getaway. Page Six reports that post-party, Harry will be taking a relaxing break in the mountains with some of his closest pals. This is set to be before Harry’s solo trip to New York City later this month where he will carry out a number of engagements close to his heart as Meghan stays at home with Archie, five, and Lilibet, three.

Interestingly, Harry won’t be seeing any members of the Royal Family on his big day, reports the Express. Despite reportedly being on speaking terms with his father King Charles, Harry’s feud with his brother, the Prince of Wales, is far from resolved, with the brothers not currently communicating. This was confirmed when the brothers attended a Spencer family funeral last month and allegedly kept their distance throughout. While Harry’s dad won’t be making the transatlantic journey to see his son, Royal fans are keen to see if he will publicly wish his youngest a happy birthday.

While it’s customary for only working members of the Royal family to receive a public birthday greeting, the late Queen did establish a precedent that non-working family members can also receive a public birthday message on milestone birthdays ending in 0, like a 40th. This implies that the prince could be in line for a public Royal birthday greeting this year, which would be his first since 2021 when Queen Elizabeth II wished her grandson a happy birthday. This was her final message to the Duke as she passed away a week before his birthday in 2022.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
