Privacy NoticeClaims of Meghan Markle’s alleged “difficult” behaviour and mistreatment of her staff as reported by The Hollywood Reporter have been fiercely dismissed by sources within Archewell as pure “fabrication” and “total nonsense”. The renowned US publication described the American as “Duchess Difficult,” citing her staff purportedly being “terrified” of her and subjected to “belittling” treatment. Sources for the publication recounted Meghan “marches around like a dictator in high heels, fuming and barking orders,” with one insider claiming: “I’ve watched her reduce grown men to tears.” The report included accusations of the duchess’s “noisy tantrums” and “angry 5am emails,” which supposedly led to the unkind nickname “Duchess Difficult”. However, a new report from GB News contradicts these allegations, with some Archewell Foundation insiders vigorously refuting the claims, arguing that the label “Duchess Difficult” is entirely unfounded, reports the Express. A source at Archewell said: “The duke and duchess work from Montecito, and we’re based in Hollywood. They likely think we’re all in the same office and that this quote would fly, but the circumstances don’t even allow for it.”

They added: “If she’s ‘marching around’ and ‘barking orders’, no Archewell employee could factually claim that… It’s total nonsense.” A source initially told the Hollywood Reporter, “Everyone’s terrified of Meghan. She belittles people, she doesn’t take advice. They’re both poor decision-makers, they change their minds frequently. Harry is a very, very charming person – no airs at all – but he’s very much an enabler. And she’s just terrible.” In a defence against the negative portrayal of Meghan’s early morning emails, another insider said: “Who hasn’t sent an email when they can’t sleep or are awake early? I’ve never once ever gotten an email from either of them at that hour – and even if I did, the duchess specifically notes in her email signature that everyone has a different working day, and to not feel obligated to respond outside of normal business hours. These source quotes don’t make any sense!” Sign up to OK!’s royal newsletter to get updates sent to your inbox for free

When the report emerged, a representative for the Sussexes spoke with the Sunday Express, saying: “Everyone is deeply concerned over the timing of the article because it was published just days before Harry’s birthday. There are fears that there could be a disgruntled former member of staff who is putting out mistruths which are designed to make them look bad.” Despite the challenges and rumours swirling around, Team Sussex plans to continue forward with optimism, as the source confirmed: “The focus for Camp Sussex now is to build on the success of the last year and to take that positive momentum forward into 2025 and beyond.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
