Privacy Notice TV presenter Maura Higgins hit the headlines recently when she was spotted getting cosy with upcoming Strictly star Pete Wicks on a night out. And it seems the pair remain close, after Maura wrote a very cheeky reply to Pete’s post when he was announced to be joining the Strictly Come Dancing line-up for this year. Maura was replying to a share of a post on the official Strictly page, which featured a dramatic picture of Pete placed over the show’s theme colours. “The only way is #Strictly for @p_wicks01! We can’t wait to see what he brings to the Ballroom!” the post read. Love Island USA’s Aftersun host Maura was quick to post a rather saucy quip in response. “I know what those hips can do,” she said. “PROUD OF YOU!!!!!!!!”

Her message comes after pictures emerged of the two smooching outside a London hotel over the weekend. As well as sharing a kiss, Maura and TOWIE ‘s Pete seemed to be deep in conversation in the photos. One witness explained that Pete arrived at the venue an hour after Maura, who had been enjoying the hotel’s terrace with a group of pals They told The Sun: “After they’d sat there for a while Maura went in for a long kiss with Pete. It wasn’t the kind of kiss you’d give a friend, it was very passionate.” They added that Pete “sat with his arm around Maura all evening”.

“They were all over each other,” the onlooker continued. “They looked totally in love and weren’t trying to hide it from anyone.” Maura has previously dated American stuntman Bobby Holland Hanton, who has been Chris Hemsworth’s stunt double. The star, 33 embarked on a whirlwind romance with him, but they split earlier this year. In a recent interview with Closer magazine, she confirmed she had moved on from Bobby and also admitted: “I’ve had Hollywood men slide into my DMs,” she said.

The host added: “But I’m not going to do that, be flown to Hollywood for a first date. They have to come to me!” She said that she has been dating around but ‘she won’t just date someone’ and revealed she doesn’t go for people just for their looks.” Meanwhile, Pete was first rumoured as a Strictly contestant a few weeks ago.
