Privacy NoticeMartin Lewis’ wife, Lara Lewington, has been axed by the BBC after 15 years. The 45 year old presenter shared on social media that her programme Click is coming to an end, writing: “Here’s to the future… some PERSONAL NEWS: After 15 years of covering some of the greatest technology on earth, sadly in a few months BBC Click will gaze into the future no more.” She added: “I’ve many exciting plans, documentaries to finish, being AI agony aunt on @lorraine and a compelling future health tech related project coming next year.” Reflecting on the conclusion of the tech series, she noted: “The BBC gave us an amazing opportunity to cover the tech that has, and will transform our lives, in ways we could never have imagined. It is a shame to see our dear show come to an end at this moment of AI transformation and incredible acceleration in innovation and possibility, but such are the economic constraints.”

Lara, who presented the weekly show alongside Spencer Kelly, is embracing a new challenge as she joins ITV’s Lorraine as the resident tech authority. Earlier in the year, she revealed her move to ITV with excitement on social media: “Excited to announce I’ve joined the @ITV @lorraine team as TV’s first AI Agony Aunt. I’ll be breaking down the facts and answering viewers’ questions on AI and tech. Much important stuff to discuss on what it means to be human in the age of AI.” Lara, a former weather presenter and showbiz correspondent for Channel 5, has had an impressive career. She’s been featured in a weekly sketch on ITV1’s The Impressionable Jon Culshaw, served as a panellist on ITV1’s Win, Lose or Draw, and made appearances on Newsnight, Big Brother’s Big Mouth, The Weakest Link and BBC’s Let’s Dance for Sports Relief, reports the Mirror.
The pair share a daughter, affectionately known as ‘mini MSE’
Despite her popularity with viewers, she’s faced criticism from trolls who accuse her of being attracted to her husband, Money Saving Expert Martin, solely for his wealth. Martin hit back at these claims, responding to an offensive tweet by saying: “I know you think it’s a joke, but actually it’s offensive both to me and my wife – you’re accusing her of being a gold digger.” Lara and Martin have been happily married for 15 years and share a daughter, who Martin lovingly refers to as his “mini MSE”. Over the past two decades, Martin has led some incredibly successful campaigns, tackling issues like unfair bank charges, uncapped energy bills and student finance.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
