Privacy NoticeRyan Livesey is one of the new grooms to have entered the Married At First Sight UK experiment last week, where he met his wife, Sionainn Carmichael, for the first time at the altar. And many fans are convinced they recognise the Manchester-born reality star, 29. Figuring out what it is, several viewers took to social media to note Ryan’s uncanny resemblance to A-list star Channing Tatum. Writing in the comments of his Instagram page, one follower wrote: “So reminds me of a young channing Tatum !” Sign up to OK!’s daily newsletter to get updates sent to your inbox for free

While a user asked on X: “Anyone else see this?” while sharing a picture of Ryan beside one of Channing. Another replied: “YES!” “Oh my goodness – Ryan’s eyes are beautiful. He reminds me of Channing Tatum,” wrote another. Ryan is a former semi-professional footballer who now works as a bin man, sharing on the show that he ‘loves’ his job. However, Ryan also signed with modelling agency Nemisis Models in 2020. Since joining the show, Ryan has spoken openly of his two battles with bladder cancer – he was 22 when diagnosed, and his ex-partner was pregnant, leaving Ryan was terrified that he never get to know his son.

Admitting he ignored the signs, Ryan told The Sun: “I started wetting the bed, it was really embarrassing but I put it down to having too much to drink and of course, I didn’t tell anyone and hid it.” He said he was constantly left feeling like he couldn’t empty his bladder properly, having to make frequent visits to the loo. He admits he ignored his symptoms, which crept up on him gradually, for a long time. “If I’d gone to the doctors when I first experienced symptoms in 2016, things could have been different,” he says. Things got worse after a big night out in that Ryan first noticed blood in his urine, having began to experience bed-wetting the previous year. At first it was only small amount of blood, so Ryan admits he ignored it and “tried not to think about it”.

Ryan did confide in an aunt, but he rejected her advice to go and see his doctor admitting he was too embarrassed to face the issue. However, in May 2017 after football training when Ryan “urinated pretty much pure blood” and knew he had to do something. Ryan was expecting to be diagnosed with kidney stones or a similar ailment, so it was a total shock when in June 2017, he was diagnosed with stage two bladder cancer, and was told he’d need surgery to remove the cancer and scrape the lining of his bladder. He also received chemotherapy. Ryan, now in remission, urges men to pay attention to their health and not let embarrassment or pride get in the way. Seeing the doctor saved his life – and Ryan is now hoping to find a long and happy marriage on the screen.Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
