Married At First Sight Australia is back with another series, which features a brand new twist. The popular reality TV series kicked off in January on Channel 9, with a fresh set of singletons hoping to meet their perfect match. The couples, who meet for the very first time at the altar, are helped by sexologist Alessandra Rampolla and relationship experts John Aiken and Mel Schilling. However, the 12th season of MAFS Australia includes an international MAFS first, with the introduction of the Final Test Week. The twist has been teased the show’s producers and looks set to cause chaos for the couples.

During the Final Test Week, couples are given the opportunity to swap their partner in a show first. MAFS producers have teased more about the twist, which is described as “an international MAFS first, where the participants will be confronted with the age-old question, ‘is the grass greener on the other side?'” MAFS producer Alexandra Spurway, said: “There is a choice that the individual has to make, and it’s make or break for their relationship. So it tests our couples in a way that makes them think about whether or not they’re going to make it work or yeah on the outside.” Meanwhile, fellow MAFS producer Josh Walsh teased: “It has a big impact on at least one or more couples.”

A huge twist has been introduced on the 2025 series of MAFS
