Privacy NoticeThe UK is in lockdown owing to the coronavirus pandemic and people are only allowed to leave the house for a certain few set reasons, one of which is to shop for essential supplies. A key problem recently is people stockpiling basic amenities such as toilet roll, cleaning products and food. This has resulted in a reductive cycle because, due to lack of supplies, people that don’t want to buy in bulk now deem it necessary to do so due to the scarcity of products on sale. Even though this seems to have slowed due to certain new measures taken by supermarkets, many have taken to online shopping to try to get a hold of supplies. However lots of companies are struggling to keep up with the demand and the delivery slots are being used up very rapidly.

Last week we reported that Morrisons will delivering special food boxes for those that were struggling to place an order, but now it seems that M&S are doing the same… but theirs might be even better as it involves their famous sweets Percy Pigs. They have two different food boxes on offer; a vegetarian one for £30 that includes basics such as Basmati rice, tea, coffee, toilet roll and also vegetable curry, giant milk chocolate buttons and Percy Pigs. The meat option costs £5 more but is filled with Beef Bolognese pasta sauce, Wild Alaskan red salmon and chunky steak, among other things.

Both options are crammed full of items that we need and goodies to enjoy to help the days go by. Ordering of the boxes is restricted to one per person, to again avoid stockpiling, and priority will be given to those that over 70 years old and they will need to prove this by using their Sparks card.

If you would like to order one from their site, please note that there is a £3.99 delivery fee. Additionally, there may be potential swaps to some of the items if the supermarket is low on certain supplies. On the M&S website it reads: ”In the event of supply difficulties, we reserve the right to include slightly different products in the M&S Food box – these alternative goods will be of equal quality and value.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
