Remember Polly Sellman and Adam Nightingale? Their journey was anything but smooth, and even though they eventually called it quits, Polly won’t be making an appearance at the reunion episode. Since waving goodbye to the E4 reality hit, content creator Polly has been racking up the followers on Insta, now boasting a cool 160K fans, reports the Daily Record. She also moved to Australia recently, sparking rumours she was doing a runner to avoid awkward run-ins with her ex-beau, Adam. As everyone gears up for tonight’s show (Monday 24 February), let’s dive into what’s been going on with 29-year-old Polly since her TV stint ended.

Embracing sunny Australia, Polly jetted off down under not long after her MAFS adventures wrapped up. She hit Instagram in December with a sassy snap from Freemantle, captioned: “She wasn’t depressed, she just needed to move back where she was happiest.” From Sydney to Perth, she’s been living her best life across the Australian cities. Her big move wasn’t all about escaping post-show drama. Polly had already fallen for Australia’s charms pre-MAFS and always knew she’d be heading back. The E4 celeb recently took to Instagram to set the record straight about her move to Australia, addressing claims that she ‘fled’ the UK in a heartfelt ten-minute video. She opened up about her struggles since relocating to Perth, confessing: “I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t struggling, I am really struggling.” She fiercely shut down rumours about her departure, saying: “I’m not going down a path of self destruction and I don’t wanna make it look like I’m ‘running way’ because there’s many articles that’ve come out that were like ‘Oh she’s fleeing the UK she can’t stand to face her ex-husband.'”

“It’s a crock of s***, okay that’s not why I left. If you knew me, or knew of me before the show, you will know that I was in Australia. And if you know me, you’ll know that my plan was always to go back.” Despite the move being part of her original plan, the MAFS star admitted she’s torn about whether to return to the UK due to the emotional challenges she’s faced in Perth. She also hinted at considering a move back to Sydney as a potential solution, acknowledging that there are “so many positives amongst the negatives.” Polly’s candid revelations prompted an outpouring of support from her followers, with many leaving encouraging comments on her post. Amidst the support, one fan curiously asked why she joined MAFS UK if she had plans to live in Australia. Polly replied to the query, sharing the story behind how she became part of the E4 show’s cast. “So I didn’t actually apply for MAFS, I got approached for it the year before, declined, then got a call last year [2024] and said yes! For me it was something I knew I wanted and just hoped I’d meet someone and they’d want to come back with me, because well why wouldn’t you wanna try Aus if you had the chance! And it just didn’t work, so I came back which was always the plan for me,” she revealed.

Despite her marriage to Adam not working out, the former careers advisor has been candid about her life post-show. In January, she posted a series of snaps from her wedding day, reflecting on its one-year anniversary. She described the big day as “one of the best days of my life” in the caption. Wrapping up her lengthy caption, she penned: “I may not have found the love of my life, but I found some wonderful friends and a whole different outlook on myself since the show finished.” As for her love life now, Polly is reportedly enjoying “lots of lovely dates” with a “new man” Down Under. A source close to the influencer spilled to The Sun: “Polly and her new man met when she landed in Sydney, and they’ve been on lots of lovely dates planned by him. They’ve been to a wildlife centre, cinema, and are planning on some weekends away with friends, as well as long beach days booked in too.” “Polly is really enjoying her newfound romance, because they’ve been honest with each other about what they want and had the initial hard conversation about what they’re looking for.” They added: “Polly is enjoying having validation and honesty from someone about what they want from the relationship.” Married At First Sight: The Reunion airs on Monday 24 February at 9pm on E4
