Polly took to Instagram to reveal this behind-the-scenes rule to her followers. In an Instagram story, she defended the natural act of breaking wind but admitted it was one of Adam’s non-negotiables. Responding to a fan’s question about their relationship struggles during filming, she revealed: “But I wasn’t allowed to fart because he said it was disgusting and he’d leave.”

The couple have faced numerous hurdles since tying the knot on the show, with Adam making it clear that Polly isn’t his usual type. In a shocking wedding day confession to Polly’s best friend, Adam described his ideal woman as “10 out of 10 for me would be petite, brunette, dark features, tan”, adding that Polly was “not what I expected.” The relationship between Adam and Polly on Married At First Sight UK took a turn for the worse when Adam revealed to the show’s experts that he wouldn’t sleep with her again, so as not to lead her on, reports the Mirror. However, in a surprising twist during last night’s episode, the pair became intimate once more, leaving the red-haired beauty overjoyed. Before this, Polly had shared Adam’s unusual rule about women farting in front of their partners or male friends. He later took to social media to ask his followers: “Okay this needs to be settled. Is it normal for a woman to fart in front of their partners or male friends? As I’ve never heard a woman fart until MAFS.” The poll results showed 57 per cent voted “yes”, nine per cent said “no that’s gross,” and 35 per cent responded “not yet, maybe a year down the line.” Not long ago, Polly found herself at the centre of controversy after accusing fellow contestant Charlie of being a bully towards Eve. Prior to this, Eve had confided in Polly and Holly about her marriage. But Polly took it upon herself to confront Charlie about her alleged toxic behaviour. During one of the dinner parties, Polly is seen questioning Charlie about her relationship, leading to an accusation of bullying.
