Privacy NoticeMarried at First Sight UK experts Paul C Brunson, Mel Schilling and Charlene Douglas have been ‘slammed’ by fans of the show for their poor matches on the latest season. Thursday night’s show, 26 September, saw the first commitment ceremony of the season with tears and drama from some of the couples. The experts were left ‘stunned’ when Caspar ‘called them out’ on matching him with Emma, who isn’t his usual type. “I don’t understand and I don’t get it and it’s really frustrating because this is my life you’re f*****g with,” he said on his match with Emma, who he has said reminds him of his sister.

Explaining why the couple had been matched, Celebs Go Dating expert Paul said they have the same exact disorganised attachment style, meaning they exhibit a little of all three. “There’s many different levels that add up to not only why you should be together but why you are strong.” Fans were left ‘fuming’ over the comments, questioning why Caspar took part in the blind experiment in the first place. However, they’re not the only couple in the same predicament, as Adam has also voiced that his wife Polly ‘wasn’t his usual type.’ Once again, fans were left fuming as he stated: “She really fancies me and I want to be attracted but I can’t. She’s not my type. We get on like a house on fire but I feel bad for her.”

Fans call Polly a ‘timeless beauty’

The comments from both grooms had fans on X, formerly known as Twitter riled up, as they slammed the experts over matches that had the brides ‘taking unnecessary hits on their self confidence’. “This season’s matches on #MafsUK is a hard watch. Just lots of stunning women having to beg for average men to like them while taking completely unnecessary constant hits on their self-confidence in the process. Really poor matching so far,” wrote on fan. “I’m NOT a Caspar fan by any stretch BUT it’s about time someone called the ‘experts’ out if they really can’t understand why they’ve been matched with their partner!“ exclaimed another. Another theorised: “I’m sure the experts on #mafs pair the majority of couples for s**** and giggles.” One fan even went as far as to say: “We need new experts!” A fifth said: “When I look at Polly, I see a timeless beauty. I look at Emma and I see a stunning woman who has the aura of a disco ball with how well she lights up a room – and these ‘experts’ are letting these two wetwipes hurt their hearts. HOW.” Despite all the drama that went down on the sofa on Thursday night’s episode, all the couples decided to stay in the experiment another week to see where their relationship goes.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
