Love Island’s Millie Court and Liam Reardon have temporarily limited their social media engagement after a heated conversation with fellow Islander Samie Elishi on their podcast sparked a backlash online. The couple, aged 29 and 25, were discussing Samie’s experience on the show when she revealed that she had confronted her nemesis Grace Jackson for calling her “snakiest”. The conversation led to trolls targeting Samie, prompting her to fire back at one critic, telling them to “do one”. As a result, Millie and Liam have shut down the comment sections on their personal social media pages to protect themselves and Samie from further scrutiny. During the podcast, Samie had opened up about her difficult first day in the villa, revealing that she had been in tears and questioning her place on the show. She told Millie and Liam: “My first day I was so upset I was literally outside crying all day to the producers…” She continued, expressing her unease: “I was like what am I doing here?” The candid discussion went further as she questioned her place in the villa: “I was like, I don’t like anyone… is there any other Bombshells coming in? And they kind of told me, but not told me, that I was the last bombshell to walk in.”

Samie also revealed that she had been told she was the last bombshell to enter the villa, leading her to believe she was being used to cause drama among the couples. Samie, a latecomer to Love Island, had her eyes set on Brighton’s Luca Bish, despite his coupling with Grace Jackson, reports the Mirror. The two girls didn’t exactly hit it off in the villa, with a bitter feud brewing during Samie’s stint on the show. Speaking on a podcast, Samie confessed that she pulled Grace aside at The BRITs for a chat after they’d both been avoiding each other at parties with mutual friends. On the podcast, she revealed: “I did speak to her just because I said that I didn’t appreciate that she called me the snakeiest Islander on the podcast. I just said to her, honestly, I feel like I haven’t done anything in my eyes to you and it was just about the messages and stuff.”

Samie was referring to an explosive argument between Grace and Liv Hawkins in the villa, where Liv claimed to have seen messages from Grace stating she would “do anything” to win. Adding to the podcast, Samie said: “She agreed that she didn’t think that Liv had photoshopped them or anything like that, which I was like oh okay, well can you tell everyone else that. I just knew what Liv was going through, and I what I was going through as well, and I was like it just wasn’t nice. She fully knows about the hate, but she didn’t apologise for calling me the snake. She just said that’s how I felt, so we just kind of left it as that.” Love Island fans on Reddit were totally gobsmacked by the latest drama to unfold. One fan dished out their thoughts, saying: “Samie put her foot in it by backing Liv with the Grace screenshots. If she just stayed quiet this would’ve been between just Liv and Grace,” and added, “She can’t really speak the way she’s speaking saying Grace needs to clear anything up when her and Liv were the ones who put grace in this mess.” Another chimed in with: “Sounds like both grace and Liv/Samie have been through a lot off the back of these allegations which just shows it really wasn’t worth bringing up in the first place.” Meanwhile, another viewer pointed out: “Grace never called her snakey, she said that Samie and Liv were the least trustworthy because of the screenshots.”
