Love Island’s Luca Bish’s family have broken their silence after emotional scenes were broadcast on the ITV2 show on Monday night. Earlier, ITV2 viewers witnessed India Reynolds being dumped from the Island after Tina Stinnes decided to ‘steal’ Scott Thomas from her. Luca had also been getting acquainted with Tina, and was seen getting emotional during a chat with Islanders, confessing he “didn’t know” why he was there, after admitting to Ekin Su that he was in tears. However, the 25 year old later reassured Islanders he was okay. “Tina picking Scott; I think your emotions get the better of you,” he confessed during a confessional. “You have peaks and troughs [in here].”

Luca then told Ekin-Su the Islander was ‘so different’ to when he first appeared in 2022, as Scott comforted him that his ‘dream girl’ would be arriving soon. Later, Tina reassured Luca she still wanted to get to know him, and it was a tough decision between the two. As fans rushed to show their support for Luca on X, formerly known as Twitter, his family broke their silence on his Instagram as they take over while he’s away, reports the Mirror. After reposting the reel of the conversation to Luca’s story, they shared a photo of the star, captioning it: “THE toughest episode,” alongside a heartbreak emoji. The story also included a question box for viewers to share their thoughts, titled: “Let’s debrief.” Echoing on X, fans empathised with the star, as one wrote: “Luca made me sad on love island.”

Luca’s fans took to social media to show their support for the heartbroken star. “Luca is heartbroken. I think the experience is bringing back memories and he is missing that safety of someone who genuinely has his back,” one fan wrote, while another added: “That love island villa is too cruel for our Luca.” Luca previously appeared on the show, where he formed a close bond with Gemma Owen, finishing as runners-up to Ekin Su and Davide Sanclimenti. Although they pursued a relationship outside of the villa, they eventually parted ways. Luca had faced online backlash during his initial stint on the show, which left his mum worried about his return. In an interview with The Mirror and other press, Luca shared: “I think the hardest thing was not knowing how I’d react. They’re receiving all this hate and I come out and you don’t know how I’m going to take it.” He added that his mum was concerned, while his dad gave a nod of approval, and his sister jokingly told him not to embarrass her.
