Privacy Notice Since being in the villa the Love Island contestants are unaware of the new Labour government, and new Prime Minister Keir Starmer, as well as England getting through to the Euro 2024 finals. Before Wednesday night’s episode, England fans saw a tense match between The Three Lions and the Netherlands, with a last-minute winning goal from Ollie Watkins which sent the team through to Sunday’s final in Berlin. Although contestants are kept in the dark about real world events during their time, it’s been claimed that ITV bosses don’t want them to miss out on the possible historic moment, and will let them watch the match in the villa.

“ITV bosses don’t want the villa to miss out so the huge decision has been made to show it on a big screen – they’ll be watching it while AfterSun is on live on Sunday,” a source told The Sun. “The rule has always been that NO outside info goes into the villa – bombshells are banned from even saying who won the general election – but this is a very special exception.” In 2021, when England reached the final against Italy, the cast were also allowed to watch on the big screen. Unfortunately, fans were left heartbroken when they missed out on the title during a penalty shootout. Sunday’s episode is said to be going ahead in the normal 9pm slot on ITV2, with Aftersun airing in its usual slot of 10pm.

It’s been a dramatic week in the Love Island villa, and no doubt the Euros final will top it off. Earlier this week, Wil Anderson was dumped from the villa after new bombshell Reuben chose to couple up with his partner, Uma Jammeh. However, Uma decided to walk with him, insisting she didn’t want to be in the villa without her partner, despite them going through a rough patch after Wil kissed Lucy Graybill in Casa Amor. If that wasn’t enough drama for the Islanders to handle, Wednesday night’s episode saw a shock dumping of four Islanders. At the end of Tuesday night, viewers were asked to vote for their favourite girl and boy, with the ones with the lowest at risk of being dumped from the villa. This saw Casa Amor boys Blade and Hugo sent packing, along with Casa girl Emma Milton. OG Islander Jess White was also dumped, leaving the rest of them in tears. Ayo and his partner Jessica were also in the bottom three, however, survived another day.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
