Privacy NoticeIt was another rather dramatic episode of Love Island as the contestants took part in a tense game of Snog, Marry, Pie. But it was anything but fun and games – and tensions soon came to the surface. The fan-favourite challenge sent shockwaves through the villa after one Islander chose to lock lips with someone outside of their current couple and the biggest pie of the day went to Joey Essex. Despite being coupled up with Josh, Mimii decided to kiss her ex Ayo, revealing: “I chose to snog this boy because we had a good connection whilst it lasted and it just made the most sense for this game for me, I think.” This left Josh furious as he later vented to the boys: “I feel like she is playing a game. She could have kissed anyone else.” Viewers took to X to share their opinions, with one person saying: “Why am I not mad Mimii kissed Ayo.” Another added: “This Ayo, Jess, Mimii & Josh situation is so draining like choose your couples and go with it omg.”

Why did he pick Nicole to kiss?”Another added: “JOEY ESSEX IS A TERRORIST AND BELONGS ON A WATCHLIST?!??! The biggest pie of the night went to Joey Essex from his ex Grace Jackson, who violently slammed a dessert into his face. The islanders were left gasping, with Joey declaring he was surprised he didn’t ‘whiplash.’ It comes as the Love Island were also given special treatment and allowed to break a major rule for a one-off event. Producers usually have strict rules on the ITV dating show that don’t allow islanders to know what is going on in the outside world while they are in the villa. But as England took on Spain in the Euros final, the islanders were not only informed but allowed to watch the match in an unprecedented move.

The Islanders received a text and, in a Love Island first, it was news from the outside world. The text reads: “Islanders, tonight you will be able to watch the England football team play Spain in the final of the European Championships! #ComeOnEngland” With their spirits lifted, all the Islanders cheered and jumped in the pool. Later that evening, they got ready for the all-important game, watching from the bedroom with flags and bunting as they supported on England. But of course, they were soon met with the despair at the game’s result, which saw England lose and Spain crowned the European champions. Following the disappointing result, the Islanders headed outside to raise a toast as Reuben has a personal message for the England squad, saying: “Not the result we wanted tonight everyone, but I’d say the boys did well, we got to the final and they did the country proud.”Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
