Privacy NoticeLove Island stars Lucy Graybill and Diamanté Laiva have dished the dirt on one major moment that never made it to air – which saw producers separate one particular couple during their Casa Amor stay. Last week saw the girls return to the main villa after a stint in Casa Amor, with Lucy Graybill and Diamanté arriving as just two of the bombshells during that time. While neither of them were picked to stay in the villa and couple up with the boys, they have revealed to OK! in an exclusive chat that there was a behind-the-scenes moment that landed Ayo Odukoya and newbie Jessica Spencer in trouble. “Jess S and Ayo were inseparable the whole time,” Lucy said, while Diamanté Laiva added: “It was cute though – there were times at dinner where the producers would have to stand between them like, ‘No conversation! Don’t talk – you’re in trouble!’

“But they would talk with their eyes from across the villa. It was absolutely crazy.” The pair added that contestants are not filmed during meal times and so producers go to lengths to stop any camera-worthy conversations from happening in that time. Lucy said: “Us girls would be speaking to the boys and then we’d be dying to tell each other what had just go on and [the producers] would be like, ‘Right, it’s lunch time!’ “We had to remember it in our heads for the next time we could speak. We were just bursting to tell each other. You’d have to learn sign language if you went in there again because it was so hard.” They added that the boys and girls were separated during meal times, with Lucy adding: “We weren’t too far apart – we could still see each other. We were just sat separately so we couldn’t have our conversations.”

Meanwhile, Diamanté revealed that the off-camera time didn’t stop there – with the cast getting an hour of “chill time” before filming resumed. “After lunch, you get an hour to chill. We will still be separate. The boys would have their chill time in this area of the villa and the girls would have their chill time back over there. “Then there will be members of the team who will come and stay with the boys and girls to make sure that no conversations are being had. It was a lot!” Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
