A former contestant on Love Island, 26 year old Jack Keating, has parted ways with his girlfriend Abby Phillips mere months after making their romance public knowledge in October last year. Jack, the eldest child of Ronan Keating and his first wife Yvonne Connolly, confirmed that he’s back on the dating scene but stated that he’s “taking it slow”. Jack – who appeared on the ITV2 show in 2022 – has erased all signs of Abby from his social media accounts and announced three weeks ago that he is “newly single”. In an interview with EVOKE at the Boyzone documentary premiere in Ireland in January, Jack previously shared that he and Abby had known each other for a “long time” before they started dating. He admitted that they’d stayed in touch he reached out after they both became single.

He told the outlet: “We kind of knew each other for a long time, I had a girlfriend she had a boyfriend for a while so we kind of just kept up-to-date with each other and then I became single, she became single, I saw her on Hinge on a dating app and I was like right let me slide into those DMs there.” Of their first date at a bar in Dublin, Jack said: “We just went for drinks in town got to know each other a little bit, hit it off and the rest is history.” However, Jack told Goss.ie last month that he was “newly single” and dating again. He said: “I was actually on a date last night – went pretty well. I’m doing the rounds.” He said: “Taking it slow though.” He added that he’s taking it “very slow”. Jack appeared on the eighth series of Love Island in 2022. He arrived on the show during the Casa Amor segment, but his time in the villa was cut short when he got dumped from the Majorca-based show just days after arriving.

After his villa stint, Jack found out he was set to become a dad. He later shared the news of his daughter Maya’s birth, now two. Last month, Jack marked his little one’s second birthday with a heartwarming post. He gushed about the toddler alongside a string of snaps, saying she brings “so much joy and happiness” to those around her. Jack penned: “Still can’t believe my little princess is 2 today. You bring so much joy and happiness to everyone in your life and I love you so much.” He added a red heart emoji before signing off with: “Happy Birthday Maya.”
