Privacy NoticeA woman who appeared on the Polish version of Love Island, Magdalena Sadlo, has admitted to being a cocaine courier in a massive £53million drug smuggling operation in the UK. The 29 year old appeared at Carlisle crown court last Friday, where she confessed to conspiring to supply the class A drug between March 2022 and May last year. In what’s been described as one of the UK’s largest ever drug busts, Sadlo was arrested by police after flying into Heathrow from Dubai as part of an investigation dubbed Operation Matrix, reports MailOnline. The reality TV star, who featured in the show’s third season in 2021, had previously described herself as a ‘spontaneous, self-confident blonde who you can count on’ living in London. She also claimed to have ‘stolen’ another woman’s boyfriend in the past.

During her time on Love Island, Sadlo appeared as a Casa Amor bombshell, with the aim of tempting male contestants away from their partners. According to her LinkedIn profile, before her stint on the show, Sadlo worked in sales, including at Ascot, and co-founded a luxury yacht rental company in Dubai at the start of 2024. Specialising in ‘Hospitality & VIP Experiences’, the company claimed to be a ‘one-stop shop for all boat rental and events. The company’s website stated: “From birthdays that sparkle on the sea to picture-perfect proposals, intimate engagement parties, sophisticated dinner soirees, to high-stakes corporate gatherings-we captain it all!”

Sadlo, formerly of Ingleton, Bracknell, Berkshire, has been held in custody and is awaiting sentencing later this year. Carlisle Crown Court heard the shocking details of how an organised crime gang imported massive quantities of cocaine into the UK for nationwide distribution. In March this year, nine men were handed jail sentences totalling over 106 years for their involvement. During the sentencing hearing, Prosecutor Tim Evans stated: “This is Amazon-style drug-dealing with that level of organisation and commerciality about it.” The massive county lines cocaine supply plot was blown apart after a drug seizure in the Lake District. After discovering 1kg of cocaine in Bowness-on-Windermere, police apprehended several suspects and confiscated phones, revealing damning evidence of the true extent of the operation and those involved.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
