Privacy NoticeLove Island’s Harry Baker and Lola Deluca were brutally dumped in a shock twist during Sunday (21 July) evening’s episode, as the pair were sent home during the explosive ‘Grafties’ challenge unexpectedly. The couple, who entered the villa just days ago as the show’s newest bombshells, recoupled together during Friday’s episode – after their respective flames, Rueben and Grace, got back together. And during Sunday’s episode, the islanders all gathered in the garden for the ‘Grafties’, an awards show where they were awarded prizes based on public votes. Harry and Lola won the first gong, which was the ‘least favourite couple’ as voted by viewers, and when they went to the podium to accept the award – the pair were gracious winners. However, they then received a shock text declaring that as the least favourite couple, they had been dumped from the island just days before the final.

Reacting to the dumping, fans couldn’t help but dub the moment harsh, as one wrote to X: “Ooh I was thinking that Lola and Harry shouldn’t be there, was a bit of a pointless badly timed bombshell BUT that dumping was harsh.. damn didn’t event get to catch 2 joke b4 they left #LoveIsand”. “They did not just bring Harry in Lola in as bombshells to dump them a few days later I can’t #LoveIsand,” wrote a second user. Chatting after leaving the villa, Harry and Lola couldn’t help but feel disappointed to have left so soon, with the latter saying: “I’m a bit gutted to be leaving but I met the most incredible people there so I’m grateful for the experience. It’s a bittersweet feeling but I’m so happy I got the experience.” While Harry simply said: “It feels fresh as I wasn’t there for a long time !” While he summed up his experience with: “Short and sweet but I enjoyed it, I got on well with absolutely everyone. I spoke to Josh and Ayo about coming to Birmingham, I want to link up with all of the boys for sure!”

Alongside the ‘least favourite couple’, the annual award ceremony the Grafties also had categories including Flirtiest Performance, It’s Giving One Sided, Most Dramatic Performance, Ultimate Pot Stirrer, Unfinished Business and Epic Fail. And there was plenty more drama after the double dumping, with Joey having been nominated in the Flirtiest Performance category, Jessy is left less than impressed as clips of him chatting to bombshell Lola are shown. Jessy tells Joey: “Well you used the trouble maker line on me first… if she put in more of a graft would you have failed the test?”Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
