Privacy Notice Love Island producers have allegedly introduced another brutal twist as the show nears its end resulting in several stars being dumped from the villa. With new bombshells and Casa Amor cast still remaining, there have been 17 people in the villa, meaning limited space and beds. So now more fan-favourites have been axed from the show. A source told The Sun: “Logistically there are too many people in that villa right now, but in terms of the flow of the show the sheer amount of singles is a big no-no. “The central premise of the show is to remain on Love Island, you have to be in a couple. Bosses staged a mega cull and it shook things up.” OK! have contacted ITV for comment.

There are less than three weeks until the end of the 2024 series and notably, there aren’t many couples in the show that have found a romantic connection. Ciaran Davies and Nicole Samuel have been together almost since the beginning. Joey Essex and Jessy Potts have also been fairly strong as have Sean Stone and Matilda Draper – despite their hiccup that came with Casa Amor. However, fans have high hopes for Mimii Ngulube and Josh Oyinsan who chose to recouple last night (9 July). Mimii was left single after Ayo Odukoya found a connection with bombshell Jess Spencer during Casa Amor.

Shockingly after the recoupling in Tuesday’s episode, Uma Jammeh decided to leave when Wil Anderson was dumped from the show. Uma broke down in floods of tears when bombshell Reuben Collins picked her to recouple with, which resulted in Wil being left single and therefore axed. A heartbroken Uma declared she would be “going” too and decided to stand by her partner. Upon her exit, Uma explained: “I knew where my head and heart was at and it’s with Wil so I wanted to be true to my feelings for him. “We can’t wait to just do normal things on the outside, stay inside and have a takeaway and go on cute dates.”

Fans of Love Island will have to wait until 10pm tonight (10 July) to watch the next episode due to England facing off with the Netherlands in the Euros. Love Island will begin at 10pm on ITV2, however, a spokesperson confirmed that Love Island “will be available to stream at 9pm on ITVX as usual”. This means no change for those who tune in online, or want to watch it at its usual time.
