The latest bombshell to stir things up at the Love Island villa is none other than series 10 hunk, Sammy Root, and heads will turn for sure – especially since his ex, Elma Pazar, might be in for an “awkward” blast from the past. There’s been buzz that the pair were an item back in 2023, and with Elma freshly single after being ditched by Ronnie Vint for Harriet Blackmore, it is possible sparks could fly again. Before jumping into the villa drama, Sammy spoke about the possible reunion: “For the people I have met before, I’m excited to see them again, but who knows – it could be fun or it might be awkward,” he said. At 23, he’s no stranger to Love Island glory; he bagged the title less than two years ago with Jess Harding. But after their split three months later, he’s now back for more: “It did work out for me the first time, but things changed when I left the Villa,” he admitted, hinting at his post-show breakup.
Sammy is a bombshell on Love Island All Stars
He’s all about finding a lasting love this time, confessing that he’s done some growing up: “Hopefully this time round, I’ll leave with a relationship that goes the distance. Last time I was very much a boy and was immature at times in terms of not thinking about my actions beforehand. Now looking back, I feel like I’ve changed a lot and I’d like to think I’ve grown from a boy to a gentleman.” Love Island’s Sammy has also revealed why he thinks the villa is the ideal spot for romance, “you’re in this unique little bubble, it’s nice to be away from other people’s opinions and being away from your phone. I love that so much,” reports the Mirror.

He’s also inspired by his parents’ lasting love and aspires for a relationship just like theirs, “I’ve always said that I dream of having the same relationship as my mum and dad, they’ve been together 35 years and are very much in love. They always go on dates and watch TV together every night. They’ve been together for years and never lost that spark,” he explained. Sammy isn’t the only one entering the villa this week. Danielle Sellers, a bombshell who briefly appeared in 2017, is joining him. Now, at 29 and wiser, she plans to dive in head first, “I was a lot younger going in the first time, I was 21! I entered during Casa Amor and lots of the boys were in strong couples! Eight years on, I’m older and know what I want, so I’m going to just go for it!” Danielle is now coming in with confidence, looking for fun and a “big heart,” and is not shy to admit, “I like Scott, Luca and Curtis so I’ll be pulling them for chats,” she said.
