Wednesday night’s episode of Love Island: All Stars ended in shock as two islanders were sent packing after a public vote for the most compatible couple. The 2025 series, which kicked off just a week ago, said goodbye to its second and third contestants in a brutal dumping on Wednesday 22 January. The public voted, and as the islanders circled the firepit, the couples with the least support were revealed. Despite being low on votes, Catherine Agbaje and Nas Majeed, as well as Elma Pazar and Ronnie Vint, avoided elimination. It was Marcel Somerville and Olivia Hawkins whose Love Island journey came to an unexpected end. With a text that cut deep, Luca broke the news to them that they were the next duo to exit the villa. Their villa mates bid them a heartfelt farewell.

However, Marcel saw a silver lining to his exit, sharing his hope to reconcile with his former flame Gabby Allen six years after their split due to his cheating scandal. Liv, on her part, felt fortunate to be leaving alongside Marcel, reports the Mirror. As they reflected on their future off camera, Liv revealed plans for “lots of food and lots of cuddles” with Marcel once outside the villa.

In the latest episode of The Mirror’s Bombshell Briefing, Love Island series 10 alum Ella Barnes dished out some juicy details about her pal Liv not getting enough screen time on the show – and hinted that it might be Marcel who was cramping her style. In an exclusive chat, she revealed: “Liv is my really good friend on the outside, and we’re not seeing a lot of her, and neither of Catherine, and they’re such big personalities. I think it’s a shame. I don’t think Nas and Marcel are bringing out the girls’ personalities. They’re both really bubbly, chatty people, and we’re just not seeing that on the screen because obviously they’re not getting screen time. So I think they’re not the right partners.” Ella also spilled the beans about almost being a bombshell on last year’s Love Island: All Stars series before she was dropped at the eleventh hour. “Last year, I got asked to go on there when Mitch was on there. Things changed and Mitch was voted out,” she dished. “I ended up not going on so I do think it’s fine.” She continued, “I had my suitcase ready last year, I was ready to go in. They said that I was going that week and then Mitch got voted out,” adding with a hint of disappointment, “I didn’t end up going in.”
