Privacy NoticeLouise Thompson was left devastated after stumbling upon a letter from her partner Ryan Libbey, in which he wrote down thoughts of leaving her. The former Made in Chelsea star opened up about the emotional discovery during an episode of their new podcast He Said She Said. Louise revealed to Ryan: “I found a letter that you wrote. You said in it that you wanted to leave but I didn’t judge you for it.” Ryan clarified that what she had found was actually a journal entry and questioned where she had come across it. Louise corrected him, explaining that it was indeed a letter penned on hotel stationery while he was away in Barcelona. Ryan admitted: “Strangely enough, I can’t actually remember writing it that well because I was in such a, flow state is the wrong word for this, but I was in a sort of emotional dumping zone.” He remembered detailing his struggles with fatherhood and his desire to “step up.” “I can also remember writing about what my expectations of you as Leo’s mother to be doing,” he added, reports the Mirror.

Despite feeling heartbroken by the letter, Louise also felt a sense of relief that Ryan could express his emotions through writing. The letter dated back to a period when Louise was battling significant physical and mental health challenges. The reality star endured a traumatic and harrowing childbirth when her son’s head became lodged in her pelvis. The situation took a turn for the worse, leading to an emergency caesarean section. Unfortunately, she suffered severe blood loss of over three litres after doctors struggled to control a haemorrhage for more than three hours. Later, it was discovered that a tear in her womb was responsible for the bleeding. Louise, who now lives with a stoma as a result of her ongoing struggle with ulcerative colitis, remains committed to speaking candidly about her health challenges to support and educate others. The couple’s openness about their ordeal has resonated with many supporters, who shared their best wishes on social media. One fan said: “I love that you’re doing this! More honest couples talking about real things rather than superficial glossed over stories!” Sign up to OK!’s daily newsletter to get updates sent to your inbox for free

Another spoke of their respect for Ryan’s willingness to share, recognising the difficulty men often face during traumatic experiences: “So much credit to Ryan for being open, I feel it’s soo hard for the guys when going through trauma and they often get forgotten/have to keep ‘strong’ when they really can’t be. Looking forward to these pods,” while an additional follower hailed the move as inspiring for other couples, commenting: “I love that you guys are doing this – hopefully it will help other couples. So real and raw. Good people.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
