The story revolves around ten celebrities participating in a reality show that goes wrong – a situation not too different from her time on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2021, reports Wales Online. Louise’s stint on the ITV Bushtucker programme didn’t go as expected. Due to Covid restrictions, the show had to be moved from Australia to Wales. The unpredictable UK weather presented new challenges, and recalling her time on Ant McPartlin’s and Declan Donnelly’s show, she mentioned that the entire group, including Good Morning Britain’s Richard Madeley, had to be evacuated. “When I was on I’m A Celebrity, it was in a castle in Wales and you may remember that, that year we got evacuated because of a once in a lifetime-storm,” she shared, revealing the inspiration behind her new book by adding: “So that planted the seed that reality TV can and does go wrong.” Louise Minchin then shifted gears to talk about her departure from BBC Breakfast with James. She had always dreamed of working on the programme and praised her time there. When James probed her about making such a big career move, Louise didn’t hesitate to explain.

The former presenter admitted her primary reason for leaving boiled down to exhaustion from the early starts required over her twenty-year stint. Going into more detail, Louise described her experience: “I talked about how much I loved being on the show and loved being part of this huge BBC Breakfast family but at the end of the day, you have to get up extremely early, you know it’s relentless.” “I was permanently jet-lagged and eventually I thought, I’ve loved this, it’s been fantastic but I need to get some sleep,” Louise concluded, expressing the toll the demanding job took on her.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
