Privacy NoticeA popular panellist Loose Women is returning after a decade away from the hit ITV talk show. Jane McDonald was a much-loved member of the line-up on the show for 10 years and has just announced that she is making her return – something her fans can’t wait for! The TV presenter and singer announced the news on her Instagram page. She posted a message reading: “Looking forward to joining the Loose Women next Friday 6th September for a good gossip about everything I’ve got coming up!!” Jane will have plenty to chat about when she appears as a guest on the ITV1 show.

She currently has a live tour in the offing as well as a new book, Let The Light In: Lessons learned through Life, Love and Laughter, in which she hopes to help readers keep chasing their dreams, conquer their fears and find more joy in life. Jane was inspired to write the book after the death of her fiancé, Ed, in 2021. Fans were delighted at Jane’s announcement and couldn’t wait to see her on her old stomping ground. “I’ll be tuned in to you Jane. I love you,” was typical of the comments left on Jane’s social media. “Looking forward to seeing you on Friday Jane and also wondering what you will be wearing,” read another. Meanwhile, one lucky fan was keeping everything crossed when it came to Jane’s appearance. “Yeah, I’ve got a studio audience ticket for Friday. Praying trains are on time!” they said. There were also calls for her to rejoin the panel on a regular basis: “Please put your Loose Woman’ hat back on again and rejoin the panel – even if it’s only one day a week! We miss you!” said one fan.

The star’s appearance comes after it was reported that she won’t be making a return appearance as part of the 25th anniversary of Loose Women this month. The Mirror reported a spokesperson for Jane stating: “There are no discussions taking place with regards to Jane returning to Loose Women whatsoever.
