Shoppers hail Debenhams’ £18 mules as the ‘perfective alternative’ to £100 Ugg Tasman slippers (Image: Debenhams)Last year’s must-have winter shoes were definitely the Tasman slippers by Ugg, but with a price tag of £100, they’re not exactly budget-friendly. As the trend for mini fleece-lined mules continues to be popular this season, we’ve been on the lookout for a similar pair that won’t break the bank. Luckily, we’ve found a pair at Debenhams that look almost identical, without the hefty price tag. In fact, there are only a few minor differences between the branded pair and the cheaper version. But if you want to bag yourself a pair, you’re going to want to hurry, they’re selling out fast. Don’t panic, though, if you missed the chance to grab your size, we’ve found some equally affordable alternatives that match the look. The Zoe Aztec Faux Fur Slip On Micro Slippers are over £80 cheaper than the Ugg Tasman slippers

The Zoe Aztec Faux Fur Slip-On Micro Slippers usually sell for £34.99 – which is already a great deal – but shoppers can get them for an unbeatable price – for a limited time. The online retailer has reduced the shoes to £25, making them £75 cheaper than the Uggs. These slippers come in six colourways in sizes three to eight. With that being said, some sizes are no longer available, and we don’t think they’ll be around for long because of the huge savings – so you’ll want to add them to your basket quickly to avoid missing out. Similar to the Tasman slippers, the Zoe shoes feature an Aztec print in an easy slip-on style. The Ugg shoes are made from soft suede and lined with plush natural wool, while the insoles of the £25 shoes are made from faux fur, perfect if you prefer not to wear animal-derived materials, reports the Manchester Evening News. Shoppers are raving about Debenhams’ Zoe slippers, which have a star rating of 4.7 out of 5 online. Happy customers have taken to the internet to share their thoughts, with one proclaiming: “Excellent quality slippers. Very comfortable. Sturdy to wear on the garden path too.” Another shopper was delighted with their bargain, saying: “Great quality slippers. I got these in the sale, great value for money.” Meanwhile, a third happy customer shared their relief at finding the perfect fit: “I’ve had to send back three slippers from other retailers after ordering size 8s and then them being far too small. These are the first pair of size eights that fit perfectly, look great and are comfortable. I literally wear them all the time inside and outside the house. Love them. Perfect Ugg alternatives.” However, not everyone was completely satisfied. One buyer left a three-star review mentioning the slippers are better suited for those with narrow feet: “Slippers look very nice, but my feet are wider fit and these were not wide enough for me. I gave them to a friend with slim feet and they rubbed hers and gave her a sore on her feet, so only suitable for very slim feet.” Yet, another customer couldn’t contain their excitement, exclaiming: “I love these slippers. So cute and definitely able to be worn outside. In fact, I only wear them out but be careful when it rains. So comfy and true to size.” The brand’s fans also suggest keeping your cosy footwear in tip-top shape during the wetter months with a waterproof spray such as Crep Protect’s £12 option available on Amazon. If you’re after the genuine article, Ugg’s Tasman slippers are available for £100 from either Ugg or Schuh. For anyone looking for something a tad different, Dr Martens’ Zebzag Suede Fleece-Lined Platform Mules are on offer for £120, though you’ll need to be fast if you want to bag a pair, as they’re selling out quickly. For more affordable alternatives, Debenhams also have these Samantha slip-on mules that match the aesthetic of the OG Uggs, with a similarly low price point. Equally, take a peek at New Look’s offering at £23. Or, check out these Ugg Tazz Platform alternatives on Amazon, though these are only available in certain sizes.
