As we spend more time inside during the winter months, rooms can quickly accumulate extra bits and pieces – from letters and bills on hallway tables to kitchen countertops lined with various cooking spices and condiments. Having a general tidy up and clearing the built-up layer will instantly make your home feel more organised and new-season ready. Bring the outside in
Bringing some outdoors to your indoors can add cheery pops of colour, say the Style Sisters

One of the main things we associate with springtime is flowers. Colourful blooms are a sign of brighter days, with tulips and daffodils filling parks and gardens with cheery pops of colour. We take so many photos on our phones these days that it’s rare to spend time printing out and framing our favourites. But the pictures and artwork displayed on our walls make a big difference to the feel of the space. If you already have a gallery wall, the new season is the ideal time to update it. Choose snaps from springs gone by, depicting picnics and Easter egg hunts. Mix in some postcards and fun prints for extra colour. Awaken the senses
Simple scent can transform the vibe in your living space

Scent is one of the first things you notice when you enter a room and it’s one of the easiest ways to update your interior for spring – with the addition of a scented candle or diffuser. Smells are closely linked to certain seasons – for instance, cinnamon and orange during the festive period and pumpkin spice in autumn. For spring, choose zesty, uplifting scents, such as citrus, rose and vanilla.
