Uploaded by TikTok star Blossom, the video has already been watched nearly 19 million times and many Brits will already have the key product needed in their home. The video’s caption says: “It’s time to clean out all those cracks and crevices! Use homemade putty to keep the interior of your car squeaky clean.” it then pans to show a cupholder full of crumbs – an issue almost every driver will have found themselves facing. Blossom then gets to work by squirting shaving foam into the holder, along with glue, baking soda, contact solution and water.

Blossom then rolls this putty around the cupholder picking up all of the crumbs with it. It is then lifted out and placed into the second holder to do the same. It’s not just cupholders you can use the putty on either, as Blossom then does the same on the window switches and interior door handles, which are also places where dirt can build up.

Finally, the putty is applied around the gear lever, leaving the area spotless. After giving the back a go, plenty of fans raved about the unusual cleaning method, with one writing: “AMAZING and it actually works……don’t put too much water and contact solution or you’ll have to add more shaving cream and glue.”

Another said: “Great Idea! I’m not filthy but I must say my cup holders and around my shifter looks a lot like this! Thanks for sharing.” But some people commented to say you don’t need to go to the trouble of find these products around the house, revealing that drivers can instead apparently purchase a product that does the same job online.
