Fans say taylor Swift revealed what perfume she was wearing to the 2024 VMAs (Image: Getty)This summer, the internet became obsessed with Taylor Swift’s beauty must-haves, from her go-to red lipstick to her liquid eyeliner of choice – and eagle-eyed fans were in for a treat as the superstar finally confirmed her favourite perfume at last week’s VMAs (well, almost). In a short video clip from the event, Taylor is seen posing with RuPaul’s Drag Race star Xunami Muse, with the latter complimenting the pop star on her perfume – and keen lip-readers were quick to reveal what was said between the two. “You smell so good. What is that?” Xunami asked her, to which she replied, “Oh thank you – it’s Tom Ford.” READ MORE: Shop Taylor Swift’s exact Eras Tour false lashes for £17 as searches for singer’s make-up surge

Although Taylor doesn’t reveal the exact fragrance she’s wearing, this appears to confirm a long-held fan theory that her go-to scent is Tom Ford Santal Blush, a rumour that began circulating after a bottle of the luxury fragrance was spotted in the background of Taylor’s 2020 Netflix documentary Miss Americana. Perhaps due to this recent revelation, Santal Blush has been flying off the shelves, selling out at a number of retailers including Sephora but we’ve spotted that there are still a few bottles in stock at Fenwick, Selfridges and John Lewis priced at £222 – for now, at least. Described by the brands as “a sensual scent celebrating sandalwood”, Tom Ford Santal Blush features notes of ylang ylang, cinnamon and woods, with customers remarking that “it has a ‘rich’ scent” that gets them lots of compliments.

Tom Ford Santal Blush, £222 from Fenwick “Perfect sent with a hint of sweet, spicy and woodsy smell,” one John Lewis customer wrote in the reviews section. “Long lasting but not overwhelming. I get compliments on it every time I wear it. Absolute favourite!” “Give me vibes of being on a very expensive beach trip,” another person wrote. “Nice and strong and masculine but not too masculine. Good sized product and one or two spritz goes a long way.” A third person suggested that this woody scent if perfect for this time of year: “I love Tom Ford perfumes and this is no exception! It’s in a beautiful bottle and has a great scent. It lasts a long time on my skin and isn’t overwhelming but provides a nice Woody scent. Love this especially for fall and winter!” Like anything Taylor-related at the moment, we expect that this perfume won’t stay in sock for long, so add it to your basket quickly if you want to smell like the superstar. Another fragrance option is the classic Viktor&Rolf Flowerbomb Eau de Parfum, currently reduced from £67 to £56.95, which the singer reportedly wore during her 2013 Red Tour.
