MasterChef host Gregg Wallace recently shared his impressive body transformation, in which he lost five stone, which he managed not by dieting, but by making healthier food choices and changing his daily habits. Gregg, 59, decided to ditch snacks, ultra-processed foods and takeaways and instead started cooking healthy meals at home every day. And plenty of other stars have shared their own transformations over recent months and years, with former TOWIE star Ferne McCann leading the way with a 21 day fitness and healthy eating challenge back in 2022.

Taking to her dedicated nutrition page – titled Fernutrition – she showcased her transformation by posting a series of before and after photos. She then outlined how exactly she overhauled her lifestyle, telling her 166,000 followers that she’d developed a series of “healthy habits” after realising that there was “no quick fix” with anything. “I needed a positive focus & to prioritise moving my body, keeping active & clean eating. The pictures reflect my progress so far but more so, I cannot express what this has done for my mental state,” she wrote. “There’s no quick fix with anything in life & often doing the exact thing you need when you are feeling low can be super overwhelming. But I promise you & I honestly believe that these healthy habits have been life savers for me.”

She also added that she’d stopped drinking alcohol, increased how much water she drinks and starting exercising “with purpose”. And former Gogglebox star Amy Tapper showed off her own impressive weight loss that same year, sharing how she had opted to make a number of small changes to her day to day routine, which included regular exercise and tucking into a wealth of nutritious and balanced meals. She revealed that she had shed an impressive 2.5 stone, and developed a newfound love of fitness, telling The Sun: “Every person’s body is different and everyone’s metabolism is different. Over the past ten years I think I have come to a conclusion about what is best for me and what works for me. “Before, I would lose two stone easily, then my body would just never budge after the two stone. I am no professional but what works for me is fitting my diet around my life, rather than fitting me around a diet.”

And last year EastEnders star Lorraine Stanley showed off her newly toned physique, revealing she’s getting “fit at 40 something” after a personal training session. Sharing some snaps off her new look, Lorraine penned the caption: “Thank you @louiseappelpt I’m feeling fantastic!!! You’re the best PT #personaltrainer #fitat40something #toning #weighttrainingforwomen #igotthis.” Fellow EastEnders actress Letitia Dean underwent a huge transformation during her six year break from EastEnders from 2006 to 2012, Letitia enlisted the help of the personal trainer used by her co-stars Charlie Brooks and Natalie Cassidy, and in 2008, she released a fitness DVD, named Letitia Dean’s Lean Routine. Speaking to the Daily Record in 2009, Letitia said: “I’d go on fad diets like Atkins or I’d only eat eggs. The effect was great, even if my breath did smell foul. I’d lose a stone in a couple of weeks, but gradually I’d slip back into my old ways and put it all on again.” And Letitia’s transformation has only continued, with fans begging for her weight loss secrets.

More recently, former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona opened up to OK! about how she went from a size 16 to a size 8 during 2023. She told us: “I was just in this rut of self-loathing and emotional eating. Something needed to change for me to feel better within myself. It was all about how I felt in my head.” Kerry shared that she has been eating healthier meals and exercising more, explaining: “I’ve really been sticking to it and have been doing some weight training too. “I do yoga every morning and just 12 minutes a day makes such a difference.
