The pair revealed they are welcoming two more bundles of joy into their brood – after sharing Liz’s pregnancy news in December. And this isn’t the only recent big change in the actor’s life, with the star having purchased a farm. The former Emmerdale actor, 38, has purchased a 120-acre farm in the Peak District, which fans will get a closer look at as his new show Kelvin’s Big Farming Adventure airs on BBC One on 17 January.

The star spent many years playing a farmer on Emmerdale, and now he’s about to put those skills into action in real life. Kelvin and wife Liz got experience with their neighbour’s flock of sheep and, in the synopsis for episode one, we hear: “The harsh realities of animal husbandry soon hit home. “The sight of a sheep’s maggot-infested foot is too much for Kelvin to bear, and he starts to wonder if this new life really is for him.”

Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher’s wife shows off growing bump after announcing baby news

Kelvin took to Instagram and said “let’s get ready to rumble” ahead of the show release, with Liz adding: “People have said to us, ‘you’re mad’. I’m allergic to horses, hay, cats.” And Kelvin says: “What I know about farming you could write on the back of a stamp.” The amazing farm has outbuildings, an 18th-Century cottage, pigs, sheep and alpacas. There will be six episodes, in which viewers will be able to get a closer look at the space. Kelvin has shared a peek on his Instagram, sharing a look at tractors and the pigsty.

Liz, too, has shared a peek inside the new abode and the activities they’ve been getting up to since moving there. The couple shared the news in December that they were expanding their brood as they shared a statement via PA news agency. It read: “There’s no question that for the Fletcher family the best thing to come out of 2021 is the news that we are expecting again. “We are feeling extremely grateful and can’t wait to meet the new addition to our family.”

To which Liz revealed: “It is completely different and that was a worry because it is a new place, new school, new people and at first it’s just a huge playground to them and now, like Marnie she knows all the responsibilities, she knows what needs doing. This is a job now, all these animals that we have to look after. “And Milo he’s three years old and he’s doing all the sheep whistling, getting them into the fields.
