Here’s one that not only gets our seal of approval but the celebs’ too – and it’s currently reduced as part of the Amazon Prime Day 2024 deals. In a blog post on Holly Willoughby’s lifestyle brand Wylde Moon’s website, the star’s make-up artist Patsy O’Neill lists L’Oréal Paris Telescopic Mascara as one of her favourites, and so we assume that this high street product was used on some of Holly’s stunning make-up looks on her appearances on Dancing On Ice, This Morning and various red carpet events over the years.

* L’Oréal Paris Telescopic Mascara, £6.99 from Amazon (was £11.99) This L’Oréal mascara usually costs £11.99, but it’s currently slashed down to £6.99 on Amazon as part of the website’s huge Prime Day shopping event – that’s a saving of 42%. Designed to give a lengthening effect, it combines a long, flexible silicone brush with a flexible formula that coats every lash from root to tip resulting in, L’Oréal claims, up to 60% longer looking eyelashes. Writing on the Wylde Moon website as part of a post about the best eyelash products, Patsy writes: “Another classic mascara that most people love is the L’Oréal Paris Telescopic Mascara. It has a high-precision, flexible, multi comb that’s made of supple bristles, which really helps elongate the lashes up and out. I have to say, loads of my friends rave about this mascara – especially the price!”

At currently under £7, it’s clearly a hit with shoppers too, judging by the 5,000-plus five-star reviews on the Amazon website. “Doesn’t go clumpy even after a few layers, it stays on all day and doesn’t budge. Makes my lashes look so much longer. One of my favourites,” wrote one happy customer. Another wrote, “Best mascara I’ve used, makes your lashes long and no clumping.” A third review titled ‘I don’t normally leave reviews…’ continues with: “…but this mascara is the best I have ever had. It’s sublime and I love the small brush. 11/10.”
