CurrentBody’s LED masks now includes a neck and decolletage version (Image: CurrentBody)Netflix’s popular show Emily in Paris is back for the second part of season 5. Eagle-eyed fans will remember the viral LED mask that Lily Collins sported in season three. Beauty tech retailer CurrentBody has slashed prices on some of their top-selling anti-ageing and skin-rejuvenating devices. This includes the celeb-approved LED mask that offers clinic-level skin treatment for home use. Usually retailing at £299, the LED mask is now available at a reduced price when purchased as part of the Face and Neck kit. This kit also takes care of the delicate neck and decolletage area, which often shows first signs of ageing. If you’re not familiar with this slightly intimidating, light-emitting face mask, it promises to boost collagen levels, improve skin tone, texture and firmness after just four weeks of continuous use. Each treatment only takes 10 minutes, and the silicone mask works to repair your skin barrier with 132 LED light bulbs that emit red and near-infrared wavelengths, reported the Mirror. Using the mask is a breeze – simply plug the power bank into the mask, secure it on your face with the velcro strap and press the power button. It can be used on a clean face alone, or with serums applied to enhance results.

I’ve been using the LED mask for a year and the results are clear. On my first go, I popped a vitamin C sheet mask under the LED mask. It’s definitely not a good idea to look directly at the bright lights like I did while adjusting the strap and securing it on my head. The ‘comfort goggles’ didn’t fit me properly and they pressed into my skin, leaving red marks around my eyes. For me, it’s better without the cushions. Thanks to the portable power bank, I wasn’t tied to a plug socket. I could watch a film, use my laptop and even have a sip of wine (yes, the slot is big enough for a wine glass).

Did my skin get brighter? Absolutely, the LED mask and the vitamin C-infused sheet mask lifted the dullness from my complexion and gave me a glow, especially on my forehead and cheeks. And after four weeks of daily use, I noticed my skin felt firmer and my pores had shrunk despite deep acne scarring remained. Now with the addition of the LED neck mask (costs £269 alone), beauty enthusiasts can opt for a full treatment to improve the appearance of ageing, saggy skin. One woman shared: “After 2 weeks, I got first compliments because my neck and chest looked much tighter. Also wrinkles and sagging skin around my mouth and jawline disappeared.” Another also noticed the same issue that I had as she wrote: “The face mask is good, however the eye pads weren’t that comfortable so I stopped using the eye pads. My only gripe is that the batteries need to be charged quite often and are detachable from the device, I would have preferred it to be built in.” CurrentyBody don’t do promotions on the LED face mask a lot so the Face and Neck kit is a good deal and you can get two masks for £482. Besides the LED range, you can also bag Panasonic’s potent, line-erasing EH-XR10 Advanced RF Facial Device at nearly half price, saving you a cool £209. Alternatively BondiBody’s LED face mask offers several light options to targets different skin concerns and it’s currently reduced from £249 to £199.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
