Privacy NoticeDavid Tennant is one of the best-known faces on British television. The Scottish actor, 52, will be helming the star-studded BAFTA ceremony at the Royal Festival Hall in London’s Southbank Centre on Sunday, where Oppenheimer will be leading the pack with 13 nominations. David admitted he felt a bit “bewildered” when he was first asked to host, but then thought: “What a laugh, what a lark.” “It just felt like an honour and a privilege to be asked to do something so august”, he added. “It’s just nice to be on that side of it. It’s obviously thrilling for everyone who’s nominated and there’s so many exciting films to be celebrating, but also that’s pretty nerve-racking, I just have to stand up.”

Although the Doctor Who star was born in Bathgate, near Edinburgh, he now lives in Chiswick, west London with his wife, Georgia Tennant. They have five children between them, including Olive, Wilfred, Doris, Birdie and Georgia’s eldest child Ty, who was adopted by the Good Omens actor. Their London property was said to be worth around £2.6million in 2019 when David was given planning permission for a 16-metre swimming pool. This included a changing room, as well as a garden room and a gym.

The Bill star Georgia occasionally gives a peek inside the home via Instagram, including a look at their incredible remodelled garden. While the pool was out of sight, two of her children hugged on the trampoline, surrounded by safety nets and with a wooden fence in the background.

Meanwhile, David and Georgia’s kitchen features light pine cabinets, exposed brickwork and a large cooking range. Georgia also shared a look inside her family’s laundry room with a candid breastfeeding snap. The relatable photo showed clothes strewn across the herringbone floor, items piling high on the sideboards and an open washing machine door poking out of a cupboard, while Georgia perched on a small bench feeding Birdy.

In another snap, fans got a look inside one of their daughter’s bedrooms as David read her a bedtime story. David and his child sat snuggled up on a pink chair, in front of a window which has chic white shutters blocking out the light. The walls were decorated with a woodland print wallpaper, and a bookshelf for all her favourite books. The family go all out at Christmas time and bring home an enormous real tree to fill their spacious living area. The room, which is painted dark blue, is flooded with natural light thanks to their floor-to-ceiling windows, and has a piano for them to practice some tunes.
